hhhmm.....this is interesting. I'm not FI, but I did notice the other day a steady "tick" when I got out of my car (like when it's just shut off)....reminded me of the sounds I'd hear from older cars. maybe it's not the same as y'all are talking about though. (about to put in my UR crank pulley, though, which I'm questioning given y'all's comments)

my crank pulley is also cracked but i never misshifted the car at all. My mechanic said it could be b/c of the hi torque. ordered an UR pulley set now.
i feel like our cars have a problem with the crank pulley, it shouldn't be this weak.

It's probably just your pipes cooling. This is particularly noticable when you have test pipes.

Fluidampr Pulley installed, ticking gone. OEM pulley was CRACKED bigger than sh*t. Cleaning up the garage and uploading DIY photos, will have more info in an hour.

Car sounds perfect.

Glad to hear it wasn't a big problem~ APS ST putting out 430+whp is impressive.

Pictures of the OEM pulley can be found here: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....03#post2220903

I'm ecstatic that the noise went away, and while I can't feel any difference in rev-up or anything, the car DOES feel smoother at idle, and doing free-revs in the driveway. Haven't taken her out on the road yet, but kudos to Summit racing for 2-day (free) delivery on the pulley.

This is a must-have part, and something maybe Sharif could carry in the future?
