VRT/JWT Quest for 800+ WHP Daily Driver...
As previously discussed, our team at VRT and the Mad Scientist at JWT have been working on a nice addition and upgrade to our already proven family of TT performance cars. Oh yes - 700 WHP at ONLY 14 PSI. We will make 800 WHP within weeks after a few tweaks.
Sounds Stupid yet Oh Sooo Real. My G35C was our first test car. Of course, we are using full GT28s with a 55 MM compressor (Jim Wolf calls our smaller GTs the 530s and these the 700s), a much larger fuel pump, injectors, crazy clutch, cams, and more, but we are proud at our performance thus far. I am hoping these turbos can make at least 850 WHP. And yes the car idles and can smoke the tires at 100 MPH on the freeway.
SADLY - We did a 20-PSI run today and simply broke the Dyno. It can only hold 800 FT/LBS of torque and the 20 PSI run crashed the Dynopak not to mention burned my racing clutch. We have replaced the clutch and will rerun the car within weeks at 20 PSI after recalibrating the dyno and trying the run in 6th gear. We will see what we get.
Pretty Fun and still making full boost at around 3000 RPM. A little more lag than the smaller GTs but Not Much. I will track the car at about 11 PSI and around 550 WHP. That will be plenty to pass the new ZO6 on the straight-aways.
Be back soon this week for more power. Check out our newest video at:

Awesome improvement with the larger turbos. Airflow is everything. You are going to see a lot engines soon making 700-850whp at 12-17psi.
Dynopaks have never been good at holding or measuring massive power. Time for a Dyno Dynamics dyno. They can ramp up 1200whp, and steady state hold 600whp with just a single eddy current retarder. Twin retarders can hold 1200whp steady state, and measure 2400whp.

We will see how much we can pull out of the Dynopak then Jump Dynos. Just have to work all of the bugs out first. But yes you are correct, airflow - much more airflow and without much lag at all.
Question, how much power can the Arias 9:1 Pistons hold? Have a nice day Sharif.

Nobody has explored the limits of the Arias Standard Duty pistons, but I wouldnt recommend them for power levels above 600whp...step up to the Extreme Duty.

I can vouch for the 100mph burn out as I was behind him in my Tahoe following on the freeway. Was pretty cool to see. That car is a monster. The cool thing is you would NEVER know by looking at it!

As mentioned in the original post, still in progress yet thanks for noticing. Thanks for the love NISSANSOURCE, we have certainly seen plenty of haters since our launch that is for certain.

Post a video of the 100mph burnout, would love to see that... I was in my friends ZR 1 a few years back and he was able to smoke 'em at 75mph, I thought that was the greatest thing.

Nice power, but it reminds me of the last dyno graph I saw that had a huge mystery spike right in the middle. That 60whp spike in the last 200rpms isn't right. No reason you should put that as the final power #s on the sheet and advertise them...
Nice car, but its not making near the power you're leading people to believe it is.

Thought everyone might like to hear from someone who was actually there.

DONE....
FYI: We will get a clean dyno this week after Clark figures how to get the Dynopak to accept more than 800 FT/LBS of torque. That is what we exceeded at 20 PSI. And we will get video posted of the runs and a 100 MPH burnout as well LOL...Vision619 you can film from your Z.
