Default Which Model to get with my plans....

Hello everyone,

I am brand new to the z forum, but not in import cars. My first car was a Integra Type R, and it was sold due to the problems with theft, etc. I fell in love with this car when it first came out, and I am looking heavily into getting one. My question is this, my plans for the car would be a full built for a custom TT system. Now being that the head and block will be being completely rebuilt for maximum dependability, and power( I know any forced induction system dangerours vs. a all motor, or stock set up). But is there any preferance in which model to get.

I wanted the track model, but realized it would probably be a waste of extra money, being that all the extras it comes with I would be upgrading anyway for the number I am going to go for(500+hp). I mean i guess it would just be the Brembos that would be coming along with Track Model, but I think for the power I want I should upgrade beyond the stock Brembos.

I am a newb i know, and am no stranger to car forums, I have been reading, reading, reading, along with searching, searching, searching. I come over from Honda-tech, in which my opinion is pretty professional, and mature board, at least in the ITR forum. So I will be on my best behavior in here when it comes to Newb questions and what now.

All help is greatly appreciated from you guys. Thank you. -Shawn

I was in the same boat as you..... I know im goint to turbo the car...I know that Im going to do a kit or something to that effect, I know I was going to change the seats and the stereo and I know I want a BBK of some sort....so it came down for me to either a Track or an enthusiast. The track was nice because it has decent brembos off the back...which would mean for me I could put off getting getting a "large" BBK...it had 18" forged Rays wheels would I could use as track only wheels while I use my 19s for street use. Also, if by chance if I do sell the car before I actually went turbo..the Track might add to the resale luster. The enthusiast was also an option because it was like the track it was more of a basic foundation of what i needed....I would be changing the brakes, wheels and so forth...so it might be wise to save some of the initial cost of the car by going with an enthusiast. however in my case, I found a track model one for a great price and was only $2k more than the enthusiast models...I figured that the $2k more was worth it in my case because it had the brembos, which would hold me over for a while and plus the track wheels would be ideal for me to burn up and track days.

hope my $0.02 helps a bit
