Yeah, with prices I've gotten from the vendors. The TN is about $300 more than the JWT TT.

then add in tuning, a good fuel management system, and install, and you reach almost 10k+ for the JWT

I'm talking about physical product only, less gauges.

The TN tuner kit is $4550

Return fuel system: $999
Walbro pump: $95
RC 440/550cc injectors: $550
UTEC and MAP sensor: $1089

Total $7,283 less gauges, less oil pan spacer

I was quoted $6900-$7000 for the JWT TT

Anything else to add as far as kits chimmike???

I'll have to tune both kits.

Install will be more with JWT.

One option I haven't seen is waiting for the Stage 1.5 kit. Although I know the pricing hasn't been confirmed it wont be THAT much more then the Stage 1 kit and has the following changes over Stage 1:
Fuel return system
550 cc injectors
Tuneable EMS with boost control

Which is basically what you are trying to get by going the Tuner kit route. Although I have a feeling its going to be a LOT cheaper to go Stage 1.5..

Assuming final R&D on the 04 and 05 test cars goes well this month shouldn't be any longer then April/May.

Yea, I'm in the same boat right now trying to choose between these two kits. It seems like they all have their pros and cons, but in the end it really comes down to tune/install and money of course. I just cant decide if I should build the motor or not for reliability reasons since I track my car often. But the TN 1.5 kit does sound like another great option. What kind of EMS are they going with?

am also waiting for the Turbonetics 1.5 and i hope they choose the UTEC as an EMS, wanted to go with Stage 1 + UTEC but no UTEC Tuner in my country i called Sharif on monday he told me there`s no way to tune the maps and send them to me he have to watch whats goin on in the car, so bad i really wanted the TN Kit, because i dont wanna stress my engine/auto tranny all the time with the TT, he (Sharif) recommended APS TT because its plug n play no need to tune it either, i know this kit is a STRONG and good kit but i hate the EMS they use :/ i really started to think of it again:

1 - go for the APS and save more for it.
2 - use the TN Stage 1 and hope it works for me and no need for the EMS.
3 - i hope that Turbonetics release a PreTuned UTEC as their EMS in Stage 1.5 even if its little more priced for sure i will go for it.

P.S. during summer tempreature hit 120-130 in Kuwait thats what am really afraid of !!

Maybe I am wrong, but I heard or thought Turbonetics was also going to use the UNICHIP in the 1.5 kit.

Guess cause it is cheap and simple... Seems also wide range of tuners who do UNICHIP... But I also heard from many that UNICHIP will get the job done, but compared to more expensive forms of EMS it is like "old technology"... Not sure what that means, just that it was said.

But whatever gets the job done, and would make the kit more flexible for tuning way over the flash program

blackend as i posted in the other thread i will be using B&M Hi-Tek Engine Oil Cooler and Hi-Tek Transmission Cooler, and the main thing i liked in the Turbonetics !!!! is the Intercooler fans !!!! best thing i have ever saw, but i hope its not too noisy :/ LOL 4 addition fan and not noisy heh am dreamin` :P

i might also drop in aluminum radiator you should do this blackend !! dont worry about it wont fit the 5AT just put an External Auto Transmission Oil Cooler like the B&M then you will be fine with 6 MT aluminum radiators but be careful some of them might not fit because of the Turbonetics Intercooler pipes, MIAPLAYA may you please conform what radiator fits with TN kit ?

Uhh... not entirely true. The Unichip APS uses isn't the same version that is rumored as being "considered" by turbonetics. I've been informed of some of the capabilities of the newer Unichip and it does sound extremely nice. Nice enough that I wouldn't consider spending the extra money on the UTEC.

Ah I see, well that makes it all the better

And yeah if it will still get the job done, and like me there are folks local who can tune UNICHIP... So if I could have had the choice I would have went that route.

But oh well... Would, shoulda, coulda lol.
