Was this on the auto mode at WOT? Are you guys hitting the rev limiter or just using the manumatic when doing WOT? Thanks & great to see other 5AT FI's....CONGRATS!!!

"First impression, it runs great and is freakin quick. I was smiling the entire ride home to Vegas from San Diego. Shifting is smooth as silk, no different from stock. Ride is awesome, idles great. I can't wait to get it on a track. It blows through first and second gear like they don't exist. before you know it you're doing 80 in a 35... (apologize to your neighbors for me Michael )"

Drag Racing with 330 to the wheels. WOT, shift from 1-2 and 2-3 would hit the REV limiter as the AT would just not shift fast enough. Manumatic shifting was impossible at WOT without hitting the REV limiter (well, unless I pushed the handle at 5000rpm).

With the TechnoSquare limited rfelash the REV limiter was put to 7200rom and shifting went fine all of the time (MAX Boost was 7.2psi with 7 psi pulleys bc of the higher revs).

I now have the Stillen Valve Body upgrade and shifting is so much faster, way more agressive (at WOT). IMO, it shaves about .2-.3 of my 1/4mile times. When normal driving you don't feel the shifts anymore, lol, feels like a variomatic.

Danny

PS: Maybe it's important to know that mine is a 03...

I really wouldn't know, that's why I said "maybe important" ... I tend to believe there isn't. When you send your VB in for improvement, they don't ask for a year.

Anyone else knows for sure ?

Drag Strip...???

Take it easy. He just got the car...LOL

Great racing with you MB at Laguna Seca yesterday. And Ty, stoked you love the car. Can't wait to drive with you at Spring Mountain next month...

Thanks for the compliments. It has been a bit to prove ourselves. We have been trying, having fun, and making some very very cool cars along the way.

Fate conspired against my running any quarter miles tonight. I guess it'll give me a chance to break it in a little more though. I really wanted to be able to post some time slips.

No worries, the event was kind of a bust anyway. It was on & off rain and the gas pumps werent working. So I got about 2 good sessions in before I ran out of gas Oh and they black flagged me and another VRT car for breaking the noise limit

Telling Me. MB flew in. We drove nine hours there and nine hours back. MB your car was safe, sound, clean, and dry in my enclosed trailer. But my car got wasted...I will send you the cleaning bill.

However, still way way way cooler driving Laguna seca, even in the rain, for REAL than playing it on GT video game. LOL

Not my fault. Your car could have gone in the trailer and Scott could have driven my car 9 hours in the rain

That would have been four times as fun as driving it to Las Vegas.
