(Btw, how come there is no flex section in the exhaust?)

Thats where the r&d would come in just like the x pipe on this type of exhaust.

I'm pretty sure my exhaust and dumps will show up tomorrow since they were shipped last Wed or Thurs. However, my car is in the shop getting the new built engine, clutch, lsd, etc., so I wont be able to fully hear the exaust until that is all done and the car is driven around for a 1000 miles or so off boost. After the break in, then the tuning, then I will be able to truly hear the exhaust. In the meantime, I will have to live through you and the video that you post.

Yancy,

Is it Godspeed or something like that who's doing your build? Are you happy with their work so far?

Godspeed is now called the "Tuning Factory." Godspeed and another shop in the area merged and created the new shop. They've installed my TT kit, BB Kit, exhaust, etc and have tuned it several times and the car is still running strong after two years. I went to the built LB because I know that running on the stock block is living on borrowed time and I wanted to upgrade before blowing it so I still had value in my block/heads.

I got my built/sleeved LB from Import Parts Pro in Texas. It's sitting at the Tuning Factory now waiting for the install of the LB, LSD, clutch, 1/2 axles, utec, 750 cc inj, return fuel system, etc. Honestly, I've been happy with the work they do, but they have a problem with timing

As soon as they pull my engine and get the new one in, my block and heads will be going back to Import Parts Pro so I can get my core charge money back. You need a block and heads for your build?

I don't know what I need yet. I haven't had it torn down yet to see the exact damage. I'm still not sure what I'll be doing.

Actually, another forum member (tig488) from out of town came to visit and check out the car today. He took some in car video with his video camera, but it died shortly after. We did shoot an out of car fly by at WOT, but it was on his digital camera, so I dont know how good the sound quality will be. If it comes out ok, look for the video on the forums in a week or two.

I also took my camera out to the track on Saturday, where I realized that I had a bad battery . I pulled the battery off of the charger Saturday morning on my way out the door and when I got to the track, it was dead. Yes the camera was off on the way up. I am trying to get some good video, believe me lol.

The exhaust looks good except for one thing. I have one MAJOR problem with my current Borla TD exhaust....slip joints. Once it's on...it's a motherfawker to get off (my car doesn't even see rain!!), and it looks like this exhaust uses slip joints too. I will never again own an exhaust that doesn't actually "bolt" together.

Steve, how about a pic from the side? I'd like to see how far out the tips out from your KenStyle bumper. I can't remember what you had but is it a lot louder than your old exhaust? Any drone or crappy sound at any rpm?

Did you sell your KS front bumper? What are you going with? Man, you're constantly changing.

Pm sent as well.

Well Im at the mercy of a friend that has a video camera. I hope to get him to do it soon. Yes it is slip joints and a pain in the **** to install. Ive done lots of installs and this was by far the hardest. Its not a do it yourself type of exhaust. I would take it to a muffler shop if I had to do it again. Working under he car without a lift is a biatch! But from what I understand three inch is pushing the limit of what fits. It needs to be adjustable and the way to do that is the slip joints.
As for the tips fitting the kenstyle, they're adjustable. They slide in and out. As far as sound. Yes its very loud! Much louder then my old exhaust. You have to remember this is a 3in exhaust on each side. Its not for the faint of heart. My car sounds like a V8 but in a good way.
No more changes for me, Im done with cars for now. Im about burnt out. I kept the Kenstyle front and everything else but the exhaust.

^^^Scott and I installed mine and it wasn't too bad. We had a lift though. It is a tight fit, but the adjustability of this system is great, especially since mine was the first production model and it was the first test with the JWT TT kit. I was nothing short of impressed.
