Stillen Stg 4 - passing smog??
I am speaking about Calif. I know no one has tried it yet, but technically speaking, can anyone provide some input on whether this stage 4 would pass the sniffer test? Basically just adding a larger injector and changing the software, but why or why wouldn't it pass smog?
would any FI Z that has the injectors changed out pass smog?
what if you have high flow cats and an otherwise full intake/exhaust system
what do people with FI kits do to pass other than knowing someone - who can really say that's always an option? Do people set up the car to run really lean or something?

For my VR4 I have 660cc injectors and Denso fuel pump and a bunch of other mods and yes I lean it out and make sure the engine is nice and warm before getting it smogged. I have a piggy back system which allows for me to tune it myself but this does not work for every modded car, just hit and miss I suppose.
I would think that most of the TT systems out on the streets today would probably pass the sniffer test, but not the visual, so i was just curious why the Stillen Stg4 would or would not pass. Basically only adding one larger injector and probably making the car run richer, other than that, most of us have a CARB EO sticker for the Stillen SC so the visual would be taken care of unless the smog guy knows what color pulley to look for, which is probably doubtful, so I would think a Stg4 would pass, but just looking for an explanation of why it wouldn't. I guess making it run rich would not pass the sniffer test??
