Thanks for keeping us posted. I have no doubt its doable, but I seriously question the reliability of 700whp with standard ARP studs. Many guys have tuned to 700whp+, and thought everything was fine.....only to find several months later, that the head gasket started leaking.

OK - Here's some pics of my Darton MID block...

Tomorrow I'll take pics of my block that has Weston spec liners in them. Both of these will work just fine for HP levels in the 1000 hp range and the cost is pretty much the same for both setups. There are some thoughts on which will work better over time and higher HP levels, but there's not enough data to support anything for sure - in a nut shell, take note on how much material needs to be removed from the block in order to install the MID kit - it's a lot. The Weston liners are beefy and don't require gutting the block and hence in theory the core is stronger -

Obviously at this level, anything can happen and there aren't 100% insurance policies for all occurrences. Sleeving has its values for sure, just not sure if it is only the Sleeves that are needed or longer studs heads, or bearings or ??? Everything helps yet at what cost does it make sense? Guess no answer for it is all expensive.
Too many things once again can go wrong when making huge power. Just kind of fun to do the trial and error thing. I am still an absolute Cheerleader for a perfect 500 WHP and 550 FT/LBS on these cars. Don't think too much more is EVER needed except for the DYNO and the Drag strip. However, with this much power and to use it, on the drag strip, you need a lot more than just 315 or 345 tires to use it.
500 WHP ... The power is extremely strong, competitive against other Super Cars, the tune is reliable, and this goal can be made at reasonable $$$. I kind of like consistency.
Have a nice day.

I definitely have the bug. Have had 500+ WHP for years and I end up tearing things apart (my own cars) and wanting more and more and even more. Currently working with JWT for 800 to 1000 WHP reliably on race fuel and 600 WHP on pump. Have already made 700 WHP on race and 550 on 91 pump, yet still setting the standard higher.
Like an obsessed idiot yet other than sex and love from your family, what else is better???
But to repeat, for our clients, I reccomend a perfect 500WHP/550TQ. It is easy, affordable, safe, and useable.
Goodluck.

However. Making 500 WHP on the Dyno is just a brag number, the real test is driving 500 WHP hard everyday. I wouldn't reccomend you driving a 500 WHP car on the stock motor long without Race Fuel. Sooner or later it is burned toast.
NOTE: My G35C makes over 500 WHP on the 10.5 lbs waste gates (upgrade from the standard BB530 turbos from JWT) ON PUMP GAS. This is the same car we are striving to make 800+ WHP on. This is my personal goal, not my companies.
For VRT, we believe 500 WHP/550TQ on a built motor is the perfect set-up for this chassis and motor. Anything else with HARD driving like we do on Road RaceTracks is expensive $$$, almost unuseable unless driving straight or you know how to really drift, and risky. I have said this before and I will keep saying it.
