What is the best turbo to get for an 06 350? I dont have a huge amount of money to spend but would like the exta power. Also is there any other things I would need to add? Thanks!

APS TT aint cheap i believe, so if you dont have a huge amt to spend i would consider some nice N/A mods to give it a nice power jump.

If you are looking for cheap, check out the Altered Atmosphere intake plenum spacer. ~13-14hp for $269. Not a bad deal. I love mine. Try finding that much power anywhere else for that kind of cheese.

If you haven't got much money to go forced induction, then don't do it at all. Stick to bolt ons. FI is a very expensive route no matter what. For starters the APS kit is the most complete, but thats around 7.5K. Then on top of that your gonna need a clutch, wheels and tires, and some gauges to keep an eye on things. Then of course you got the install. You should also keep some cash handy for when the motor packs it in, if you dont want to do forged internals. If you do want forged internals and that more reliability, expect to cough up another 4K. All in all, for a "cheap" realiable setup, you'll be looking at 15K easy. Most good realible setups will set you back 25K easy.

Supercharger would be a cheaper route and is a decent bang for the buck

I'd say either the full vortech supercharger kit or full APS single turbo kit just because those kits seem to be reliable and complete. I'd love to say the turbonetics single turbo, but the ECU reflash isn't something I'd trust so then you should get a piggyback that'll cost you. And really you need bigger injectors too. Anyway I'd recommend those two kits.

The APS TT system I'd recommend too if you have more money but yeah twin turbos are more like $2000 to install. Single turbos and superchargers are closer to $1000-1500 to install

Since you have an 06, you can't use the TN reflash. Also, with some of the kits, I hear there is a charge pipe fitment problem with one of the pipes. It doesn't sound like anything a muffler shop couldn't fix, though. In another thread, someone said the Greddy kit fits fine on the 06s. Hopefully, I'll be getting my Greddy TT soon (trying to find the best price). I'll be installing it myself too, so I'll know first-hand about any problems.

If you really want "best bang for the $" then go to a reputable shop and get a custom single done.

Saying 25k for turbo is just exageration. If you know how to tune and are installing it yourself, which isn't difficult, expect it to cost no more than 10-12k for a complete setup.

If you read my post above, that is what i said, a good cheap system would go for around 15K, but if you go all out, it can very easily reach 25K.

if I were you I wouldn't bother going FI unless if I had atleast 15k sitting in my account. But - for a complete system that you could bold on and not worry about I'd say the Stillen stage 1 (upper 3,000 dollars). It doesn't get cheaper than that complete system. If you try and get more with say a vortech SC tuner kit (mid 3,000 price tag) your still going to end up paying more $$$ (buying your engine management and fuel components) where you'd probably have just been better off getting a complete turbonetics ST kit (well if that kit is still in the mid-high 4,000 price range)

Get the APS twin turbo system. It has all the right parts for a very powerful and safe forced induction system with the only kit that has a fuel return system standard. Spending a little more for quality is lot cheaper than a rebuilding a blown engine. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. If you want to save money get the APS single turbo kit as it has all the quality support parts as the the TT.

If you can swing it at all money-wise, you really need the APS exhaust and APS plenum for an optimum set up either single or twin turbo. I just really like the quality, thoroughness, safety, and fit of the APS products. And I have been doing forced induction for more than 20 years now.

I doubt you can have anything installed for less than 10K (unless you do a lot of DIY)

You need the exhaust and plenum to optimize a supercharger as well. The plenum is very inexpensive. But a superfine tuned engine with APS costs a little more, gives you a LOT more performance and safety. How much will you have saved when you are out $7,000 to rebuild a blown engine after going el cheapo on the front end? You will either pay a little more now or a lot more later. Your choice.
