In order to do this you had to use cam re-position adaptors in order to use the Vq35 cams (nismo cams in my case). After multiple attempts to get the cam timming right and using several set of adapters i gave up and swapped in the vq30 cams. Then when we hooked up the blower it started making noises (not sure if it was a bearing issue or not). After all the headaches i finally sold the car w/ just the vq35 in it and bought a new Z. Been happy ever since

BTW a guy followed up behind me and completed the same exact setup a few months later and made like 430whp. Needless to say i was pissed my setup didn't work out.
So Chris...what happened that things didnt work out for you on this set up ? Couldnt get to 13psi with out belt slip ?????

nah i could never get the cam timming right with the nismo cams so i ended up using the stock cams.

I know on the maximas guys will use a 2.62 pulley and sometimes see around 14-15psi without belt slip problems

He was doing this using a VQ30 ECU. It was a VQ30 to VQ35 swap from what I gathered. And he needed the VQ30 cam sensor because the VQ35 didnt work with the VQ30 ECU so he was trying to get the timing right using the right sensor with the wrong motor.I guess it didnt happen.

correct tim, but i did get the motor running. For some reason though when we used the nismo cams with the cam position adapters we had made the cam timming would be all f'd up. Thats why i used the stock cams so i would not have to use the adapters(which more than likely were not dialed in right).
