Sharif,, explain please why the Return System helps.. If w/o it and the injectors are at less than 80% with good fuel pressure and the A/F is in the 11/12 range accross the board what effect does it have on power?

I cant imagine running 460whp on the stock system, I find it really hard to belive that his fuel pressure would be normal with that much power.

If you are running with less than 80% duty than you are lucky, because I ran out of fuel from 5800rpm with my 440/walbro
maybe your fmu acts as the aermotove fpr would?

I'm using Stock injectors with the Stock Vortech Fuel System. I'm am seeing some fuel starvation, after 6200rpm it begins to lean out from 11.8 to about 12.2 at 6600rpm. (I know i need to upgrade)

This car is running an AAM return fuel system, so fuel shouldnt be an issue. With a proper return fuel system, and a 1:1 riser, you establish solid and stable differential fuel pressure. This makes tuning more accurate, safer, faster, and allows you to adjust your fuel pressure to suit your needs.

Chris's 350Z is awesome!

We removed the Vortech fuel pump which overdrives the injectors. He currently has the AAM Fuel System, Walboro fuel pump, and 550cc injectors. His engine is stock (no cams yet!) with a spacer, exhaust, and radiator.

For tuning we are using a combination of the AAM ECU Flash (for timing control and raised rev-limit) and the Split-Second box (used for fuel control only).

By redline we are seeing 10.5-11psi of boost on pump gas without a problem Uncorrected, Chris's Z nearly made just under 470rwhp!!

Those are the corrected number on the dyno chart. He said uncorrected was nearly 470whp.

DB350z3469 (CHRIS) Congrats on the impressive numbers. How loud is the Vortech's gear noise at idle? Or did you increase your idle speed to cancel the noise.

do you not have a dyno with air fuel, im curious to see how the air fuel looks throughout the rpm. im also planning on the AAM return fuel and 2.87 in the next few weeks.

How does the SS box control fuel if the AUX pump is gone?

Ithey tried to trim the factory fan shroud, but it didnt work. Im not sure what the size was, Noah at AAM would know they had the flexlight fan in stock, when i got the radiator installed. so i just purchaced it while i was there.

The SS box, although not nearly as nice as the GReddy E-Manage or UTEC, can be programmed to modify the factory air-meter signal. The SS Box uses a map sensor so you can program above 6/7psi.

The end result is modifying the fuel very similar to how the GReddy E-Manage Blue does.

Hope this helps,
