Oil adapter for gauges.
Ive been looking for the best way to hook up my oil temp and pressure gauge. I found this adapter on ebay and bought one. It came in today and Im very impressed! Just thought I would post the link for others.

Sorry for my ignorance on this, but what exactly is this? Is it a machined piece that fits between your oil filter and the engine that allows you to hook up probes for oil temp and pressure? Can you use this and plug 1 hole and run only 1 sensor there? I am thinking about buying either an oil temp or a fuel pressure sensor. Would this be where I connect the oil temp sensor? That makes the decision easier for the gauge, if this is in fact where the sensor would mount.

OOOOOOOHHHHH. I was reading on the Ebay link that this could be used as a SC oil feed line. I wonder who will be the first to try this. Too bad I already have a hole in my oil pan for the oil feed to my Vortech!

Sorry to hijack this thread a little,
I have the defi oil temp gauge and it's about 120~140F while cruising on hwy and about 190~200 when stuck in traffic. I'm in CA and weather is around 60~70...Is this normal or should I start looking for oil cooler...hot summer is comming and I want to get prepared. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

those are about the same temps I am getting.
unless you track or punish your car, i don't think an oil cooler is necessary, but than again, it might be better to be safe than sorry.

I have the Greddy one too.. One thing to keep in mind is that, as is the case with hte greddy unit for certain, this unit might too have 1/8" BSP (and not 1/8" NPT) threads for gaueg sender units. You MUST use a 1/8BSP to 1/8NPT adapter, which can be had from mcmaster.com (i believe that autometer may make one also, and it's very overpriced). HTH

BTW, what is a BSP thread?
