It is GO Time and I need assistance.
I finally had my last surgery from my accident last monday and finally get to officially order my Z. May 26th is my settlement court date and I have roughly $62,000 in lost wages coming to me and $20,000 from my totalled car. So now I need to decide between a Black roadster, or a DB Coupe. So, roughly $37,000 for a factory loaded roadster is what I'm seeing.
Now here is where I need help, or suggestions on a vendor I can Email and discuss this with (or if your a vendor reading this, please feel free to message me), but now here's my problem. I'v never built an engine up, always been cosmetic and sound systems, now that I'm getting older I want to do it right. I'v figured I can spend roughly $60k now (including cost of car) and am setting $5k aside for the Ings-1 longnose kit. Anyone out there that could help me in what I'd need to build a serious quality motor. I know this probably sounds stupid and everyone when I sat down and talked about it asked me why I don't just spend $60k on a car taht can already perform like what I'm wanting to build, and to me...its not the same. I have looked, and looked and there is no car that appeals or feels like the Z to me. I'm strongly considering a roadster since I may be moving back down south and if I do I know i'll really be loving having a drop top again. So flame me if you must since this asking alot, but if you can help me, or reffer me to someone i can talk to about this I'd be very grateful.

Its probably not a good idea to tell the vendors you have 60k to spend...theres a reason they dont post prices
I admire your determination with the Z, a true hardcore Z fan
If I were you I would get as many rides from Z owners as possible, see what you like best, more power is not always better.
If I had that money to spend, i would get a built block made for a modest 500whp on 91, get all light weight mods, and get the suspension dialed in, that can be more money than the tubo kit. Have it dialed in professionally like it is going to be a track car, just make sure you keep everything streetable.
When I had my old A4 dialed in by Tein after all the suspension work, the handling was much more fun than the 450hp

I wouldn’t get a Z if you have around 60k to spend why don’t you wait on the new skyline you can basically pay that off or the new c6 z06. I love my Z but if I had the chance I would get those also the porshe BTW.
If you like the Z that much then go ahead.

As I mentioned in my initial post, I'v looked at all of these cars and the Z is the only one that I fall in love with every time. I don't want a Z06 because my father has one and is already having numerous warranty issues, I'v never been a huge Viper fan, and porshe's are expensive as hell to work on. So I decided I'd like to build up a Z with some reliable power, that can stand being a daily driver for a bit, and since my nerves in my right arm are badly damaged I may have to get an auto, which may be a problem since I haven't seen anyone go over 400whp with an auto, or none I'v read yet anyways.
