Yea, I am also interested in the TN 1.5 kit. But I would like to know if TN would offer it w/o the Unichip so I can use the UTEC.

Like I said its possible...I'll see what they say about it...Although I will say the included Unichip Q and all its features are pretty nice..

Its a bit different then those systems. When I have all the final production pieces to show I'll post it up. Turbonetics has re-worked its design a couple times now to get what they want.

Nice I cant wait to hear the full specs of everything, pricing, and features of the TN 1.5 kit. I guess Im going to have to wait out until it comes out to see if I want to go that route instead of greddy or JWT TT.
Thanks MIA! Keep us posted!

FYI the 5AT G35 kit is now shipping for the 287 HP version of the G ONLY.

If you have a G35 with the 287 motor your 5AT kit is now released

Trust me when I tell you they are working as fast as they can. They currently have 5 other projects aside from the Z/G being worked on as well which is taking up some of their time...

This is what I've been suggesting to people for a long time. If your motor is not in imminent damnger of blowing, then it will be in your best interest to wait for the Turbonetics stage kits. Jumping the gun and buying a UTEC is something most would want to avoid doing...

^ Why would you wantto avoid buying a UTEC? thats just a dumb statement to make. IMO its the best piggyback out for the Z...

I don't know if I'd agree with it being the best. From what I understand, the user interface is archaic and make's greddy's software look like a top of the line system.

It's my understanding that TurboXS is developing a windows based interface. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but I've already purchased UTEC, so, for me and others like me, it would be convenient to have a "tuner" kit that is sans the unichip.

And thats understandable. The point of this thread is not to debates the merits of each system. They both are obviously very capable units. If we are going to compare we should start a seperate thread for that.

Ok here is a REALLY stupid question....What is the big difference between a "tuner" kit and the regular TN kit?

I am looking to get a UTEC to tune my NA mods but looking at FI option this winter while my Z is in storage.

I'm not trying to sound like a smarta$$...but when is "your motor NOT in danger of blowing" if you're FI?

I understand that tuning is the key, but there have a number of threads that discuss blown engines while FI. 10 to 1 compression simply isn't optimal under FI.
