Guys at MRC ran an APS TT with the Injen trapping 117mph(430+whp) or so, it is very small but only flowing 3 cylinders worth of air, Id say for 430whp or less its fine. Not as bad as its made out to be....

Are you out to buy an engine management with a nice user interface or something that gets the job done? Who cares what it makes Greddy's or anybody elses look like the EMU cant control timing how the UTEC does-but Im sure you already knew that....

It doesn't control timing in the same fasion as the Utec no (the Unichip Q I'm referring to that is) but it can control timing yes. The Unichip should get the job done. I can't speak to the older Unichip as I have no experience with it. But the UniQ as its called has been pretty reliable so far in testing and the features are pretty trick. Bluetooth datalogging is going to be bad@ss!!

The unichip Q+ does has the same functions as the UTEC does. It controls timing, has 5 maps, and can be linked via Bluetooth.

As you know it does control the timing only it does in with + or - off of what the ECU is doing and will not let you set direct timing like the UTEC.

MIA will the TN stage kits running this Unichip also come with a TN spec reflash? I doubt it, but then you get into the possible--->what if the factory ECU switchs maps on you and the timing being pulled from the ECU isnt enough? Possible issues. Ill take an old user interface and direct timing control anyday...

Alberto,
I think I already stated that I'm not here to debate the merits of each EMS. Thats for another thread. As for the ECU reflash the same map is applied to both location aside from the bad gas map so thats not an issue. The current test car is running the reflash and Unichip Q. It has not been decided finally how that is going to play out hence the reason I said its still in R&D. However, should they decide to use straight Unichip it will work similar to the current Unichip and other piggybacks that lock the data going into the ECU to keep it from changing maps over. The EU, SS, older Unichip, etc ALL do this successfully now. I did not say being able to directly enter timing is not good. What I did say is the Unichip Q CAN also get the job done and DOES offer some nice features. Again if we want to discuss the merits of each EMS we should probably start another thread.

Sorry if this has been commented on already, I've missed if so. Is this "version" of Unichip still require the upfront $$$$$ to be able to tune it. My question is, would Sharif be able to tune the 1.5 when it comes out?
