SWEET! I'll be calling them tomorrow. However, I remember Stillen saying that the stock hood would be used for their supercharger, I guess they couldn't make it fit.

Sounds god,..but damn--can't believe they would want to make a hood for it(one more thing to buy to make it work),..i would more than likely get it if you didn't have to replace the fawking hood!

Let us know,..I would actually buy this faster then a Turbo,..More reliable/less money/and I would be VERY happy with the power it would increase---but if the JWT ECU comes out it will probably not work w/ a FI car unless its a Programmable ECU which I hope its not,..I wanna be able to plug the damn thing in and take off,..just like HONDATA!!

Keep us posted to who knows!

Is it just me, or is the front suspension brace gone as well?

Just got off the phone w/ Stillen. The SC is still 3 to 4 months away. Yes, you have to purchase the new hood to go with. I asked him about the disappearance of the front brace and he was not sure, but said that it made sense that it would have to be removed. I got the feeling they are going to address that with a brace of their own.

Sorry for the false alarm.

there is no room for the brace on the SC is on so i doubt you'll be able to get one to fit.

i'm getting this when it comes out. it'll be the only mod to the Z that i'll do. sleepers rule.

Um-
I agree with you above -- "Sleepers do rule", but I think the point is quite defeated if you have to get a new hood to fit over the SC-- it won't be a sleeper if everyone sees the cowl, right?

NOS is for the sleepers. No hood cowls, no whine, no blow-off, just amazing unexpected speed as you watch them scream and pound on their steering wheel in you side mirror.

hmmm....Z

I still might get this if it comes out first. Anyone thinking about cutting a whole in their hood like the prototype pics from Stillen? I just talked with Stillen and he wouldn't give me a ballpark figure on the SC. He did ask me about an exhaust system and their true-dual system is only 1095$. He said that they have gotten 16hp out of it. An exhaust might be needed for the SC. He said the system uses two (true-dual) 2.5 inch stainless piping. As far as the customer service, it didn't seem bad. The guy was kind of fast-talking me like he was in a hurry but I'll take fast-talking over slow-talking.

NOS is also a LIMITED supply of power.

once the bottle is empty. you're like a fighter w/o ammo... j

if you want sleeper, that SC wouldnt cut it either cuz of the hood scoop.. perhaps a built motor would be the ultimate sleeper.

too much trouble. the cowl isn't that big on the hood from the side it's not very noticeable and if painted properly will look factory. check out the profile pics and you will see what i mean.

NOS is a company, N2o is the correct term.

That's strange. He gladly gave me a ballpark. He said they were going to try to keep the cost of the supercharger as close to 3000 as possible. Of course there will be added costs for the hood and exhaust.

Default Supercharger

I just got off the phone with Stillen and they said the same price ez quoted, around $3000, and he also said that this Friday (02/07/03) they would be able to start taking reservations for the kit and they would have all the numbers on the unit along with the price.
