Default software based gauges

So i'm sitting here half complaining about the fact that I have this car pc with a nice touch screen monitor, but I still need to buy gauges for fuel pressure, boost, and wide band air fuel and oh yea...the control module if I want defi/nexus gauges.

Why hasn't someone come up with a software solution for this?? I don't think it would be that hard to build a pci card...integrate everything into some kind of compliant standard and present it on a monitor...

I'd gladly pay $800+ for a software based solution

Where is this product for the 350z???

Whats stopping you from doing it?

I would think the main reason there is nothing like this is because of demand. Most people are either all performance, or all show. The performance people have the turbos and need guages, but lack OEM navi screens/carputers. The show people have screens and carputers all over the place, but no real need for guages.

HKS had something out for a while, but they discontinued it. I've heard nothing but good things about it, which would lead me to believe no one was buying them.

HKS has recently come out w/ the F-Con Si. I read in a magazine article somewhere that it can hook up to the HKS Camp and also it has video out so you can hook it up to a lcd screen or nav screen or head unit w/ lcd screen. No word on price, but HKS = $$$$$$$ !

cipher gives you a lot of info...but I dont think it gives you real time boost / fuel pressure and wide band a/f on the same screen...maybe not at all...

That is cool - just checked out their website. It makes sense to have just one programmable gauge. It would be nice if there was something like this that could work with an EMU though - like be able to read the UTEC's log...
