I installed my Vortech SC over a three day period in my garage with the car on jack stands. I found the Vortech instruction very complete. Went step-by-step starting on page #1, checking off each step when completed. Sought some assistance when hooking up the intercooler and ECU wiring.

I might suggest you go to: www.vortechsuperchargers.com and review the "Installation Manual" to see what tools are required and if it is something you might want to undertake. I found it very rewarding and know mine in done correct. I have seen several installs done by shops where the oil drain is drill too low.

I'd say a good 35-40 % of the people who have the Turbonetics kit on this board self installed. Probably more than that. Its pretty cake to install. Instructions here http://members.***.net/turbonetics35...icsinstman.pdf

with the little I know of you so far, I'd say you have no business tuning any car.

with that said, the turbonetics kit does not require any tuning.

Does the TN setup require engine removal or can you get away with just pulling off the rad support and bumper?

the TN kit just take some patience and some elbow grease, if you have good mecanical skills and a good set of hand tools you can pull this off in your garage with a buddy.

Dont need to take off radiator support for TN kit. I did my own install with some friends, took a few days taking our time. Very good instructions...

I installed the vortech myself. I felt that the instructions were very vague, but it was doable. It was not a cakewalk, but I got everything running perfect on my first try. Just take your time. I did the install over a week.
