Default TT Owners - Clutch Question

How long will a stock clutch last with a TT set up? i just had a Greddy TT installed. Fuel upgrade, spacer and dyno tuning were performed at AAM - 425RWHP and 399ft-lb TQ. Clutch is starting to burn and I am not hitting HI Boost.

pretty much answered your own question..Said you just installed the TT kit and the clutch is already starting to burn. So not long at all. Atleast get the JWT combo then go up from there according to your power goals..

Just my O2

How are you running DC sports headers with your Greddy TT?

One more thing...Im kinda surprised the guys at AAM would not have suggested a clutch upgrade???? Seems weird to me and +1 on the DC headers?

Forgot to update my signature. I just had the TT installed and have only been running it for a couple of weeks.

The TT kit was installed in Waterloo Ontario. I drove 8.5hrs to AAM just for the fuel upgrade and dyno tuning. I was only there for a couple of days.

Clutch is very driver dependent so tough to say who should get a new clutch with FI but the G35 is worse as I think their pressure plate is probably softer to provide a smoother feel for the "luxury" owners

A few of my friends' clutches lasted about 5-10k miles with around 400whp so it depends. Also your driving style depends. How many miles did you have on the clutch when you installed the turbo?

I had about 27,000 miles on the car when the the TT kit was installed. However, I drove for a year with a Vortech SC before I sold it and switched over to the TT.

To me if it is already burning/slipping then you need to go ahead and upgrade.
