Default Does it matter what vq35 motor to build

I have an oppurtunity to purchase a couple of used longblocks from a local junkyard for 1000 dollars a piece. I've been over there to look at the motors and everything looks good. But my queston is, they do not know what car it came out of, so would this make a difference. I'm going to build an extra block and head on the side so I will not have any down time on my vehicle. So do you think this is a good price and will I be able to use the longblock without any problems. Thanx.

Has to come out a 350Z/G35. Has to be RWD platform to mount correctly. The FX may work as bare heads or blocks. The Muranos go with the Quest/Max/Alt. I got that info from our interchange change system here at the yard. Someone will chime in soon. It also says that early 03s have some differences but they probably don't matter. It is probably something insignificant like sensor location. The Maxima and Altima won't work if you are looking that way. Also, what yard in Houston is willing to sell VQ35s for $1000? I like to know because I have a salvage yard in Houston. Also, check the VIN on the engine. If the 4th digit is "A" it will be the right block. And any yard that tells you they don't know what car it came out of is lying.

like tk2005 it has to be from a z/g. the motors from other cars are fwd engines, and the truck/suv vq's have different heads.
