Default Profec E01 Boost Control Valve Problem?

I am having problems hitting HI boost with my Greddy TT set up (approx 10 lbs). When driving the car hard, it mostly only hits 5lbs and sporadically hits 10lbs.

I am thinking it is the Boost Control Valve. Has anyone had similar problems? Any ideas why this could be happening?

What is the exact problem, does it hit 10 and then taper off?

Do you have it on Auto or Manual Mode?

If Manual what are your settings?

It spools quickly to 5psi and then doesn't go beyond. Once and a while, it will hit 10lbs.

It only started happening within the past couple of weeks. Previously, I had no issues hitting HI boost.

It is in Manual:
LO - Set 3, Gain 10
HI - Set 12, Gain 10
Start Boost 4psi

Well with those setting I am not surprised you are getting only around 5 psi.

If you want 10 psi you will have to be around:

Set= 40 (start at 35 and go up until you get what you want
Gain=10 (20 if you want it to get up there quicker)
Start Boost set at 7-8

Be careful though because with the settings you currently have you should never see 10 psi.

I had several problems with the E-)1..the solution, was getting a Blitz SBC-ID...my E-01 didnt hold steady boost at all...was all over the place..the Blitz works perfectly (dual solenoid)
I know it sucks when you spend over $500 on a boost controller and then have to shell out abother $500+ for one that works the way it is supposed to!

Since it appeared to be working correctly, and then suddlenly stop, I would double check all of your vaccum lines and connections. 5psi is stock boost, so in theory, you should be able to double that amount with a boost controller. 10psi with a 5psi wastegate spring is going to require much more "Set" then you have dialed in, IMHO. A set of 12 usually produces about 6-7psi at the very most. The 10psi that you saw might have have been a momentary spike or something.
