Probably not Amy .... maybe he likes his vehicle and considers the extra $50-$200/month in fuel costs worth it.

Some people have different priorities and drive what they enjoy .. not what is economical.

I'll drive a sports car or a truck 365 days/year before I get caught dead in an (imho) uninspiring, ugly and powerless hybid/econobox.

Ditto. Gas is around $2.70 for 87 in Dallas area.

My FI Z is my daily driver. I only drive my Jeep cherokee when I go the beach or I'm working a bigger project on the car.

Premium is between $3.37- $3.60.

Great thread...Since I am getting closer to joining yall F/I guys, I am currently looking into getting a DD soon after my install is done. I have been contemplating on whether I want another car, or get a SUV/truck so I can hual parts, and maybe trailer my car to and from track events.
I really want another 240sx, so I can have a reliable daily driver, another fun drift car, and is very easy and cheap to fix.
But at the same time I would love a truck where I could put parts in, groceries, etc...and maybe tow my Z. What are some good SUV/trucks out there that are nice, reliable, and have a good room and towing capacity. I was thinking about just getting a used TITAN in about 6-8 months. I had one up here at work for $18K, but its still out of my price range. $15K would be better.

i got this tahoe 06, like 2 months ago, 0% APR cant beat that, plus no money down. The Z has no room for anything, i cant even go shopping to a electronic store and get something in a medium box, unless i wanna mash it in the car. Gas sucks, but having a SUV is so fun, im used to always having a Fast car since i was 16, Its nice to just drive slow and look over everyone, plus the rims blind people at the stoplights on sunny days, kinda funny

Ended up building it up, buying some custom turbo kit, i cant even remember the name it was so long ago, ended up going with DFI as a EMS (DFI baby im a old school G),

You swapped in a KLZE. That dry shot wasnt a good idea. My KL03 is built to KLZE specs, 10:1 comp, forged bottom end and big cams. It was built for N20 but Ive never sprayed it. Will handle 100-125 shot all day long and with some DR's and only 2700lb or less (its gutted now) the PGT will go well into the 12's @ 110+easy. One of these days Ill order a N20 kit and race some local Z owners and record their faces as I pull away in this beat up a$$ car lol...

yeah alot of people under estimate that car, even on a stock motor, my buddy had a intake and exhaust and still hit a high 14 sec 1/4. He used to **** off all the honda guys telling them hed smoke there GS-r's, which he did.

Yeah if you had some juice defiently, some Z owners would be
