Question To good to be true????

There's a GReddy TT kit on ebay and the seller is only asking for around $1500...only 4k on the kit...is this real or maybe something wrong with it?

heres the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GREDD...QQcmdZViewItem

Sounds like a good deal to me. Pay with a CC. If he stiffs you, dispute the charge as fruad. Can't lose.

I heard something about this in a different thread apparently he keeps putting the same kit up for sale and stiffs everyone that mails him money.. He keeps changing his name after he stiffs someone.. Don't buy into it man, a Greddy wouldn't go for that low with only 4k, EVER!

I talked to the guy about the kit and he wanted to use Western Union due to his incapability to withdraw no more than 500. per month. He also mentioned he was stationed in the Key west, FL... Air Force

He wanted me to send half the money as a deposit via western union in my wife’s or fathers name so he would see I sent the deposit and he would mail the kit over to me, then once I get a tracking # I could send the rest of the money... but who's to say I'll get a bag of rocks

I told the guy I was not going to send the money today and there was a thread about a dude selling a TT kit on eBay then stiffing people the money so I was going to have my buddy who's in the Air Force check out his back ground thoroughly and if it all checks out I'll personally pick up the kit down in the Keys.

Well he said "call me on Monday or Tuesday to see if I still have it"
cool with me, great sign that it totally legit.... BUT

I get a call about 10 minutes later that he has a buyer and retracting the eBay bids...RED FLAG last I look the highest bid was at 1575. now it's at 765.

Well we'll see what I come up with in the next couple of days.
If he checks out I'll call on Tuesday to see if he still has it or not.

To bad we can't make out the serial numbers on the turbo in the close up picture in order to track it's info( purchaser)

No Air Force Base in Key West my friend.

Although there are several other bases in Fla. Sounds very fishy.

The guy says he is stationed in Key West but carries a 954 area code which belongs to the Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Pompano Beach, FL area.

Although Key West is a Navy base there are Air Force personnel there that were relocated from Homestead AFB.

Anyway, i looked the dude up and he was not in our (USAF) global address list. I think he is FOS and it is a matter of time before he gets caught.

Anyone familiar with the 628-xxxx prefix in the 954 area code? if you can fine out what his cell/phone provider is he can probably be tracked down then reported to the local police station.

Not true I think, if it's been carefully inspected and all is good why not?
