Mine just went out for the 3rd time, Friday. No real worries, never hardly use it, but this time I was stuck in 93 degree weather and a traffic jam, Pi$$ed me off.

The Turbonetics A/C line that goes under the turbo is heat wrapped... Then the A/C line that goes beside the turbo on the drivers side of the motor make sure you heat wrap very well.

I blame the shop who did my install originally on the kit, because they did not correctly heat wrap the top A/C line (had a leak) and looks like who ever they got to install the bottom A/C line hacked it up (where I also had a leak).

So I bought a new top A/C line and wrapped it better, and Reggie@Turbonetics is sending a new bottom A/C line.

Other than that the A/C was always good, and will be again cause damn it is getting hot

make sure you wrap or completly move the wires on top of the a/c compressor, as they can actually touch the wastegate recirculation tube (on the G35 kit anyways). and they are around 16 gauge so a touch with a hot knife would melt them through <sarcasm.

Yes Turbonetics provides heat wrap, but if you need more than provided... Just call Dave at Altered Atmosphere, where you can order more of the same heat wrap as provided in the Turbonetics kit... Just tell him the Turbonetics part number and how many feet you need.

My a/c line was installed by a local repair shop prior to installing the TN kit for $318. Ouch. On the way home it leaked out some of the refridgerant which I actually thought was just leftover drips from the new (sloppy) install. Eventually (within a few days) leaked out all of it which we did not realize until after we installed the TN kit and it was all burning off. I brought the car back to the local guy who installed the A/C line and he said that the line was probably defective which I think is BS. And now he won't touch the car with the turbo because it's difficult to work on. Since then I had my friend from Turbotrix look at it when he was at my house and said the line wasn't installed properly.

So to answer your question -my A/C doesn't work at the moment.

My AC has never given me one single problem in 30k miles with the kit on...50k total on the car. Blows as cold as it did day 1. Although I don't use it often..

The line they provided melted on me, even through there was heat shielding plus extra wrap. I just got done replacing it two days ago. Now the a/c hose that runs up top decided it wants to do the same thing, even through 3 layers of thermotec heat wrap. BTW, my a/c had been inop for the last three months due to the first a/c line going.
