I have seen Vortech Kits w/ over 25 - 30K on them running strong... $3500 does not seem like a bad price... Is it a full kit or the tuner kit? does it come with ALL of the components?

I have a quote for a polished kit Installed for 6K... So you will be saving roughly 2K Installed on the kit dependant on your cost of the install.

So, the question to ask yourself is.... Is 2K worth your peace of mind buying a new kit?

Here is an IDEA... create ONE THREAD and keep asking questions in that ONE THREAD because what is going to happen is if you keep creating a thread everytime you have a question.. sooner or later people will begin to ignore you

3500 for a polish one is not bad. I'm buying one that is satin for that price with more milleage so if it was me I would have jumped on it.

$3500 for a used Vortech with 9,000 miles on it is a great deal. Just as long as it has all working components and the supercharger is not busted. A new one will run you around $4800-$5500.

make sure you can live with the rocks in the engine bay sound that comes from the blower bearings during idle before you make this purchase.

Raise idle to 1K and loosen the COG so there is about 3/4 to and inch of play... Rocks are gone.

buying a used kit is always a slight risk because what if the person forgot to give you some small part or whatever. The shop is going to pull their hair out ordering whatever is missing. It's probably fine. I'd say if the kit runs fine at 9000 miles that you got a good one that will probalby continue to run well

Yeah I will make them put in writing that everything is included in the kit that is supposed to be. And if not I will make them order it. They are a very good shop. I also imagine he heard the kit before it was installed so I will be asking him how loud it was.
