I have an 04 350Z and just recently added a procharger in addition to my existing plenum spacer, headers, testpipes, exhaust, and under drive pulley. With the fuel management system that comes with the procharger will everything be set correctly out of the box or will the system have to be tuned using a dyno and wideband O2 sensor? While driving it the last week and a half I notice that the powerband is not as smooth as I had expected, instead, it seems a little jerky while going through the shifts. Could this be because the fuel isn't set right? Although I cant hear any detonation, could this problem come from the fact that it might be running too rich? Someone please help me out on this.
Get it tuned. Definitely invest in a wideband o2. My car didnt feel right when i didnt have it tuned. I was losing to cars that were dynoing a lot less then mine. After the tune, it made a world of difference. Id say do not go WOT with your car, and tune it.
