LOL, I guess my exhaust is just louder... (can't stand next to the car on the dyno because of the exhaust at WOT. Invidia G200, downpipes with resonators, ceramic headers)

Good luck with whatever you do.

Great find on the AAM spacer
I am still torn between the Procharger and Turbonetics.
I am going to talk to my buddy who is doing the install and see what he thinks.

i am running the procharger and i love it.. i think you will be happy and pleased with the performance either kit puts out. try to get a ride in a ST and SC car then pick.. you have had plenty of sc cars maby time 4 a change.. all that said at minimum i would UTEC either kit also return lines and i wouldnt stress out of the box performance or completeness so much.. full potential on stock block i think eatch kit would give the other a good run 4 the $

Cool, thanks.
I called Vortech today.
They actually have a Supercharger system for the 2005 350Z with the 287hp engine (like mine).
What is REALLY cool is:
I can buy a wiring harness from superchargersonline.com for $279
I can buy the AAM spacer for $149
and a local dealer will sell me the Vortech for $4700.
TOTAL = $5128
With an install and a dyno-pull = $6000 total
Of course I can just buy the Procharger for $4700 and not need the harness or spacer, but I don't have any tuning besides the FMU on the dyno.
I should change my THREAD to Procharger or Vortech at this point

You really should consider Tuning on a Dyno not just a Dyno..The kit is fuel rich out of the box and power can be had with some tuning of the fuel maps in the Split Second piggy back unit..

This is a great thread that I found and I am in the same boat as you yell03! I have been reading a lot of posts and I have narrowed it down to these two superchargers.
On that note I have always believe in the statement you are only as good and your tunning is. Which can provide a great daily driver or a track monster depending on what you want but when it comes down to it you want your system to be reliable and cutting corners with tunning just hurts in the long run! Thus I am also going to begin researching the EMS.

I spoke to a well respected Vendor today about my choices.
He actually told me not to tap in to the oil pan spacer if I do the Vortech, but rather to tap where the factory recommends, I think it is because the spacer is too high and oil starvation to the blower could be the result.
I really do not want to tap the oil pan.
He also said all the kits were pretty safe out of the box (under 380rwhp).
His recommendations based on ease of install and reliability were Turbonetics, Procharger, and Stillen.
He also said the Vortech was great, but the Split Second box needs to be tuned out of the box for an extra 50rwhp and not to tap the spacer.
He said the Procharger was pretty easy to tune and as long as you don't go for more boost and is safe out of the box as long as you run it on the rich side -11:1-11.5:1
He recommended a wideband a/f and a boost gauge to keep an eye on things.
With a Procharger, I would most likely adjust my tunes in the winter where you need more fuel to compensate for better air.
Right now I am leaning towards the Procharger, FOR TODAY!

Hmm interesting, I was thinking about the Procharger myself, I like the "self contained oiling system" that eliminates the need for tapping anything. But I got a good deal on a Vortech so I went with that Curious about the oil tap location, would buying an APS/PE oil pan fix this potential problem maybe? I for one dont want to tap into the stock oil pan, unless I have a spare around. +1 for tuning on a dyno, Im going to save up for that. Keep us updated on your choice!
