Default Different boost at different driving situations...

Hi,

I went to a drag meet yesterday for the first time since the APS ST install. Had a blast! But I've noticed something strange... My boost level is different than the dyno runs.... For my dyno run in 4th gear from 2500rpm to 6700rpm, I get 11.4psi... but, yesterday at the drag strip, I was only getting 8.4psi on all 4 runs. No setup was changed between the dyno run and the drag strip. On my way back from the strip, I mimicked the dyno run in 4th gear from 2500 rpm to 6700rpm, and I got 11.4psi just like before... Strange!! I'm suspecting that the APS ST internal wastegate isn't too accurate... Would installing an electronic boost controller fix this boost inconsistency?

Thanks~

Jay

Thats weird no reason why you would only be getting 8psi instead of 11psi in different situations the same day. Maybe you have a kink in your vacuum line going to the boost guage and its reading innacurately? Worth a shot.

BTW-what was your best 1/4 time and speed and with how much power?

maybe after a few passes your car was pretty hot and the boost was lower because of that.
