Put me down for 713whp @ 6700 rpms w/ 23psi. I will be surprised if the peak power is much above 6700 rpms. Either way, I know your ride is fast, but very interested in where the peak power is.

i still have the stock rev limit set in my car. the dyno was still at a very steady climb at that point. it surely will make power well above 6600. i have removed mucho metal from the intake and heads though and running nismo cams too. will get another dyno soon as my clutch was slipping hardcore last time. putting in a custom tilton triple disk with weight added to the flywheel to make it street friendly. can't wait!!

We'll be revving out our VQ project to 8500rpm. I have disabled/removed the CVTC system (VQ30 timing covers, gears, chain and water pump). We have some pretty large cams, and valve springs to provide enough seat pressure to keep valve float out of the picture. This will be in a FWD car, running through a Maxima 6spd. GT42R, 1000cc injectors, and Electromotive management.. The engine is sleeved/built, and has some L19 studs/cometic gaskets. So, we'll see just what the VQ will hold.. I've got enough injector/turbo for around 900whp.. On paper, the cams/springs should let us go to 8500rpm without float. The intake manifold has a plenum volume of about 5.5 liters, with 11.7" total runner length. Peak power should come at about 8000-8200rpm with this combination.. We'll see, soon.. ![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

This raises an interesting question in the interpretation of power. Do you consider the measure of power to be your horsepower or torque readings?
Personally, I look at the torque curve for power so from that perspective, you're gradually losing power from 4700 rpm on. Because of the nature of the HP - Tq calculation, you can lose torque and still maintain or even build HP. Granted you're still making 460 ft-lbs at 6900 rpm but thats about 120 ft-lbs less than the 580 ft-lbs you're making at 4700 rpm, and the car won't pull quite as hard.
Not meant to flame or anything, but I feel that interpretation of the numbers really changes the nature of the discussion and I think this is a very worthwhile topic.
