Everyone with a Supercharger please post
Alright, I really wanna go FI but after all the Turbo horror stories about blown engines and so forth I've been kinda scared away. I just can't afford to replace an engine. From what research I've done with the search tool and some Google'ing I've heard that a Supercharger, while not quite as powerful, is much safer for the engine at around 8 psi. Now I can live with the power sacrifice if I get to keep my engine intact. So I want to hear from everyone who has a Supercharger and see what the real deal is. Just answer a few questions for me.
a) What brand do you have?
b) How long have you had it/how many miles?
c) Do you have stock internals/think they are fine?
d) Have you had any SC related problems?
e) Cost w/ install?
f) Any supporting mods you have? Recommendations?
g) Your numbers? i.e. HP/TQ and track times if you have them?
Thanks in advance. I will appreciate any constructive input from the pros.

I'm not looking for any more information on the Superchargers. I already did all that research. I just want to hear from people who have them and what their experiences have been. I already used the almighty SEARCH TOOL and it didn't drum up the kind of information I wanted to get. I appreciate your dedication to making it as difficult as possible to communicate with my fellow Z owners. Now as politely as I can say, I will ask that anyone who plans on telling me to use the SEARCH TOOL again, please do not waste your effort on a post. Just go find another thread to read where you can be appeased...

I hate when people pop in with the "SEARCH BUTTON" posts.
I tuned in to this thread because I have the same questions and I want new and recent info along with that from 1-2 years ago.
I have searched and searched and am still torn between a Procharger, Vortech, and a Turbonetics kit.
Right now the Turbonetics seems to be in the lead slightly ahead of Vortech, but I can't count any kits out and I still might stay stock.
So before anyone pops me with a search button comment, just give me the info or shut your typing finger (the digit equivalent of your pie hole)
Before I spend $6000 or more, I want my exact questions answered for good reasons. I'd hate top spend $6000 on anything but the safest possible FI system even though I know there are no guarantees.
It seems the Vortech is by far the safest kit, but a Turbo fits this car's personality much better. A supercharger seems to be more in tune with a Mustang (I've owned 18 Stangs, 5 supercharged so I think I am an expert)
I was the same way with both my 03 Cobras, my Viper GTS, and my current 2005 C6 Corvette.
So lets see some great info posted!!!
Just ranting, I hate going back to work after a holiday, and I am the owner, imagine how my employees must feel

And thanks to the rest of you guys who are answering and not questioning. That's awesome of you guys. Like he said, if I'm gonna drop that kind of bank into something I would like every last question or concern to be handled. I don't think it hurts too bad to answer a couple quick questions. It takes a lot more effort to make a long winded post about how I'm retarded because I didn't delve into the chasmous abyss that is my350z's archives. (which, for the records, I spent a good hour doing before I posted this originally. This being after countless hours of technical and mechanical research about SC's, how they work, and their application to our Z's)

Three cars boosted by Greddy, all were Honda's however. All of them ran strong and compression tested after 3 years with no psi lost. Boost only hurts if tuned incorrectly. Dunno how well the VQ will hold up, maybe some long term owners can shed some light. Like previously said BOOST IS BOOST SC or TURBO, make sure its tuned.
