Default Now I need a new clutch (TN ST dyno)

Conditions: 100% humidity (raining), low 80s temp.
51k on stock clutch, with 10k of that on the boost.

TN ST, 5/16" plenum spacer, Nismo Weldina exhaust.

5th gear pull WITH THE A/C ON!! (guy didn't friggin notice the a/c was on! LOL!)

so enjoy guys. Love the complete crapping out of the clutch once torque nears 370-380 ft-lbs.

JWT TIME!

remember, this is a car that ran 12.5 @ 114 a few months ago when the clutch was holding, on street tires, lol.

Is that A/F correct ? Above 12 to1 all the way through the rpm range ?

Very nice, strip time and dyno results

Also my stock clutch went after a couple of trips to the strip after the Turbonetics, and I made the move to the JWT clutch/fly combo... It is a nice upgrade and I can't wait for my next trip to the track

thats the tailpipe sniffer after the big resonator and muffler. Those things aren't accurate.

It's below 11:1 according to the innovate LC-1 in my downpipe.

the numbers I'm not impressed about. I should be 380-390whp with my mods and a good clutch, and non-100% humidity.

Check the drivetrain classifieds; I'm selling my ATS triple, cheap.

Your TQ curve looks normal to me, doesnt seem like your clutch slipped on that dyno pull. All TN cars on the reflash have that dip after 5000rpm...

trust me, it did. We could all smell it pretty strongly...and the curve is ragged. Torque peak should be closer to 400 ft-lbs and hp should be closer to 390. Conditions and clutch didn't help much.

Those numbers are SAE corrected so the humidity doesnt play in, what were the actual numbers? Also at WOT the A/C is bypassed If the conditions were that bad your actual numbers would be much lower....judging by your mph down the 1/4 your dyno numbers sound correct.

the conditions the dynojet system showed were wrong, so the humidity and temps weren't corrected for.

Temp/humidity conditions effect power in more ways that predicted by SAE corrections. I dynod my car originally around this time of year on a heat soaked motor and also a very low reading dynojet and hit 367whp. (close to 100 degrees and 80-90% humidity) Of course, this was before I had my spacer and boost controller which made a VERY noticable difference.

Back on that day it was hot enough that the car detonated on the dyno, and having just previously taken it out and beaten on it hard around the block a few times didn't help much...

In all, the numbers aren't bad. Take it back this winter and see if anything changes.

chimmike I know you are set on a JWT clutch but also take a look at the ACT street disc and ACT Prolite flywheel. I drove Greg's car with that setup and to date it has been my favorite setup yet. (I have not driven the carbon setups yet though). I'm currently running the ACT street disc and JWT flywheel and if it was affordable to do I would switch to the ACT Prolite flywheel in a heart beat. In fact I still might when I build my motor.
