want to get rid of FMU on Vortech
I have had for about 4k miles now the 440's with walbro and FMU/Aux fuel system.. Had it retuned (AAM) for the larger inj's and all has been fine.. However, my fuel press is at 80psi under non boost and goes up when under boost by the FMU/Aux/S.S. box..Aside from the higher fuel press ( which AAM say's is no problem) and which can be lowered by performing the TN mod to the fuel pump (see drilling a hole in the walbro ) it runs fine.. But I would also like to ditch the FMU/Aux.. Too much to go wrong...
Return Fuel System, RC 440' injectors, and a walbro 255 is all you need. We have them all in stock.
Completely remove all of the Vortech fuel system gear. The new return system will replace all of those lines.
You can still use the split second to tune, if you choose.

Just wondering, but why are fuel return systems so expensive? The only components besides hoses and fittings I can tell are the injector rails and the fuel pressure regulator.
If you look at the ingredients, materials, and enginereeing that goes into designing a return fuel system, there is quite a bit of cost locked up in typical complete return fuel system. I am sure Phunk or AAM can chime in, since they manufacture the parts. When I looked into making our own system, I realized I would not be able to do it for much less than what we sell them for.
agreed. they seem to be totally out of line. The fuel rails are the only fabricated item, and they are readily available extrusions. yes, they had to have the rails tapped for the injectors, but it looks like all else are off the shelf parts.
The siphon correction kit, and CNC machined fuel pressure regulator plug and CNC machined rails are not off the shelf.
A RFS also saves the user hours of time, in measuring, routing, and setup.

What are the pros and cons of running
1. SS tune, larger injectors and pump w/ stock fuel lines over vortech fuel system
2. fuel return system over #1
I'm planning on staying under 400 whp, dunno if a fuel return system is overkill, but want a little peace of mind over the vortech fuel system. Can anyone chime in?

How much hp can 440cc + walbro (stock rails) handle? I'm assuming 410hp. So, if I was only making 380hp on this setup, would there still be stress on the injectors bc I'm not maxing the duty cycle?
So a return fuel system is not necessary. What about the ecu retune? I was told all I needed was bigger injectors, walboro and a retune using the SS box. Nothing about a ecu reflash. I currently have the L-Spec Reflash now. Is it necessary? Also, I assume that all the return fuel system is doing is just recycling the extra fuel sent to the injectors?
