It might blow-up 3x with you trying to make 850HP. Why build an engine instead of buying Marin's? Lots of big HP cars coming out of SP. Not a lot of dynos to back it up. You should set your sights on 600RWHP, and consider anything more gravy. Get it tuned at SP, then drive to another dyno at the same settings and run it again for fifty bucks.

I saw another thread - it looks like you ARE getting Marin's engine. How do you expect to up the HP from 700-850? That is, IF that car was making 700RWHP. I like Marin, and I like(d) his car. It was very fast, but IDK about that HP claim. In either event, good luck, and keep it safe.

Not to be a dick or anything but thats a pretty big claim/dream. I'm not to sure but does the stock APS turbos even flow that much for that amount of power? Also another not to be a dick or anything comment, but if you JUST learned about how a piston works i think its not wise to build one of the highest whp daily driven Z that this board has seen/heard of considering all the "baller turbo guys" (i.e. marluci, bigbri, shariff, 350zdcalb, MRC, and a host of others) that have yet to kiss 800 and expect some form respect? IMO i give all the props in the world for working hard, keeping your car for sentimental values, and aiming toward expirmentation/power, but how this thread started/sounded, it became to fit the streotype of rich kid knowing nothing and just watched that ONE movie. Honestly im not trying to be an *** or anything but no ones going to believe you until theres solid proof, true spoken word from scotts performance, like 100 dynos in diff areas, climates, blah, blah, and a dozen videos for everyone to be satisfied. Thats just how this forum works apparently. So until then everyone will call bulls.hit. I for one give the best of luck with build and i for one am both hoping you reach that lofty goal but also will call bs until i see valid proof.

edit: I for one will watch this and again i wish all the best of luck for you to accomplish such a goal.

I dont know about this person, but I can tell you this Ted over at Scott Performance knows how to build a car, I believe he can get it done. He already made record numbers with bigbri and marin's cars. Now he is working on a coupe for crazy power. Your at the right shop, but this isn;t a small job long time and lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

With the new extreme kit, it doesn't seem that big a stretch. Hopefully his builder knows just a tad more than the op about reaching 800 hp

Good luck dude - whatever the final #, you're gonna have one fast Z!

If the coupe is Twilight Blue then it is mine and please no one drive the black widow anymore as that engine is the one I am taking over along with all the goodies.

I must say that I have never run across so many envious people in one place as are on this site.
Just remember, you'll never get anywhere in life always looking at the safe, cautious way.
It seems you do this with a passion, so chase that dream. But no bull****, I'm sure when its done you'll get your respect.
thanks bro i appreciate it...one day when i do make it big i will post some dynos of my account lol jp
but u are right i am not sure if they are hating because they are financially unable to take the Z as far as i am or they are just hating that i am 18 and i am way over my head with this whole setup ?
from my job to my Z ...its fillled with dreams that only passion and determination can fuel to make it run
if u dont live life at the edge u will always have that thought in the back of your head that will say"i wonder what wouldve happened if i did?"
thats one of the things i learned in investing correctly in real estate if it wasnt for my bold moves i prob would not have made it this far.
your appreciation and respect will be admired thanks guys

as long as u play ur cards right bro there is nothing in life that is not possible
i grew up in poverty and the image of living in that state just fuels me to work even harder in life
if it was not for my cuzn with the 430 i would not be where i am at right now. he was the one that allowed me to work at his office @14 as a telemarketer and slowly held his hand out as i climbed the ladder as a branch owner in the bay area. I am currently in the process of going to college and hope to make it somewhere in life, not only with an income but with a degree and respect from my parents that worked so hard to bring me here from Afghanistan. i will always admire my parents for doing that, if it wasnt for them i would prob still be there or dead.
so when i bought my Z with my own money it meant alot to me and spending this much money on my Z didnt bother me becuz its one thing in life that i will always look at and say this "this was the start of my carrer and success"

The thought of a young inexperienced driver building a 850whp car is just financial masturbation... nothing more than a coffin on wheels. You can't take a car like that on a "circuit race" with that kind of power. That kind of power to the wheels is more a liability than anything on a road course, and even with said power any experienced driver would still run laps around you in a stock porsche.

What is the point of it really, unless you plan on being a competitive drag racer or just plan on taking it out to dyno meets and doing pulls with supras?
