I don't think I'm up for that!
Not even un happy with present set up, but always sniffing around.

true but u have more room to play with the t-trim in the future. I'm thinking about getting at least 12-14psi later on and if i stick with the sc blower then I would need a 2.62 pulley which I know for sure Ill be slipping like crazy.
I absolutely plan on upgrading to the T-trim when I have an engine that can handle it someday
for now though, the stock blower is fine and I'm going to get my mileage out of it before trading it in. I might look into switching to the S trim sometime after awhile though. As much as it sucks waiting, it is nice to have some things to look forward to doing someday. Vortech has that weird policy where you can only do an exchange once every 12 months.
btw anyone know how much louder the T-trim is, or how much different does it sound compared to the stock blower? Booger, you'd know - any feedback? I think I read somewhere that it sounds more like the procharger. Just curious

Are you guys who are hittn these high PSI's on stock motors or have you built them... How much pressure can the stock rods / pistons handle? I am thinking about gettn the T-Trim soon but I still have a stock bottom end... How much WHP/ TQ gain would you be looking at stepping up to the T-Trim while staying with the same pulley (3.12 in my case)
Thanks
Thanks
I think you'd realistically gain around 50-60 whp if you kept the stock intercooler and piping and piston compression ratio
I think Lou was doing around 475whp and I might have it wrong, but I thought he chipped a piston ring or something at one point and then built up the engine. I don't recall any details though - like what octane fuel he was using or if he had an oil cooler, big oil pan, or what fuel system he had though. Most other people I've talked to or read up on said they had an engine problem because of more or less a bad tune or no gauges or things of that sort, but they weren't really pushing the envelope in power - at least not at that time

Is this the T-Trim your talkn about?
http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...tegory_Code=SU
It says its 2800+ for the blower... Where you see it for 1K? Or am I looking at the wrong blower?
Thanks

Hmm...is the S-Trim switch worth it? I would still need to pay for labor to take the SC out and put it back in and the down time. So the benefits of the S-Trim are faster spooling and more boost in the rev range, while the cons are more heat and harder on the engine? Is S-Trim w/ 3.12 safe for stock engine?

The most they give you back is like $775 so you are still over 2K for the T-Trim...
I would love to find that T-Trim for 1K, anyone know a place for 1K?
someone should call vortech. The people that have switched always said it was around $1100. Booger would know. I'm not seriously considering the T-trim at this point cause I dont feel like blowing up the motor in a month

i thought your motor was built?

...I've actually been considering trying the 2.62 pulley, but I need to nail down my new EMS, and fuel pressure issue and tune with the 2.87 to make sure everything looks fine first

It a 50 mm. wide pulley , about twice as wide as ours . I had the shop at work cut it and mill it for me . I run the 3.12 with it , but it should spin the blower like the 2.87 or better .
so u had to alter the cog pulley to get 13psi? So if someone doesnt alter anything but has the 3.12 pulley + t-trim, it wont see 13psi? if not how much more psi will u see. I talked with vortech and they dont know how much more psi with the t trim just that it will produce a few more lbs compare to the sc trim.
