Default Vortech installed, but one puzzling little thing.

Ok first off Vortech is AWESOME. This ****er pulls like there is no tomorrow. Im in love.

Ok, now for the issue...my airbag light is flashing. I had to seats out to do the electronics and i put them both in correctly and connected the 1 plug on each side. Did i miss something? could it be somthing else?

Why did you take seats out? What EMS are you using? Did you maybe cut or nick a wire somewhere? Did you use a harness or splice into the ECU? Did you try taking off the - battery lead? Did you have it taken off while you were putting it back? Id be careful, would be bad if one of those suckers went off. Need details! I got mine in a week ago and am loving it also

Reset ECU? I know you're not allowed to take the seats out. If anything and it wont go away, theres a harness that mynismo.com sells that cuts the airbag light, but i think the airbag will no longer work.
(ehem, time for lightweight aftermarket steering wheel :-D )

I took the seats out so that i had more room to work with the wiring, i spliced everything into the existing harness. The car runs absolutely flawlessly other than that light being on. Could it have anything to do the my gauges? I tied them into a switched 12v source under the drivers side dash....I tried resetting the ECU but it is still flashing.

If you noone else can figure it out then I would just say, on your spare time take out the seat and make sure EVERY connection is right...It is probably just 1 wire lol. We all get that kind of luck sometimes. Good luck with the problem

To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away.

Thanks, worked for me too. My airbag light has been flashing for months now due to something setting it off while changing seats even with jumpers in place?
