Vortech kit installed and dynoed
2004 5AT completely stock besides the Vortech kit.
Before dyno - 220 rwhp SAE Dynojet.
After dyno - 310 rwhp SAE Dynojet. Done on the same dyno 4 days apart in the same weather conditions.
This is probably one of the lower power numbers posted by a vortech kit, but we are 5AT with stock exhaust, plenum, everything else. This is also the stock tune for the split second box. The A/F is pretty good out of the box, but there is gains to be made in tuning.
This is my wife's car and we wanted to take it easy on the 5AT for now. At this power level, the car shifts great in full auto @ WOT. We are going to take an incremental approach to upgrading the trans and then adding suppoting mods to bring the power up.
Install done by FC Customs in Springfield, IL. Mostly a domestic shop, but they did a great job.

*edit* Forgot to add - gauge is showing 7psi peak.

Good Job. Is your Vortech the quiet version with the V-2 SQ Head unit? Do you hear the gear grinding noise at idle ? (below 900RPM). Anyway, good luck with your new blown ride.

The car performs great and my wife has a silly grin on her face everytime she drives it now..

As for cost,
Kit - $4700
Install 10hr @ $65/hr
Dynojet Wideband Commander - $450
Autometer Electric boost gauge - $180
Gauge install - 3hr @ $65hr - had them do a custom plate for the Nav area.

Ive seen em on ebay for 300 sometimes cheaper, I went with a 10 lb bottle so I dont have to fill as often. Its 17 dollars for 10lbs co2. it took me 2-1/2 hours to install. Ill help you on that when the time comes so it can go faster-The install I mean. www.designengineering.com there are other brands too. it sprays co2 on the inter cooler to lower temps, and you can spray your fuel rail too. check it out

If you plan on upgrading the VB in the tranny . And its your wifes car , you might want to try to find a 350Z or G35 with a VB upgrade and have her drive it . The shift from 1st to 2nd can be rather harsh at very light throttle and she may not like it . My Girl friend doesnt like to drive our G35 at all because of it . Ive found that if you give the right amount of gas on take off's , it isnt bad at all
