Default Anyone take a LONG road trip after going FI?

Thinking of taking the Z from Chicago to Toronto in the future... but worried if something happens my car will be stuck in some mom & pop garage and expensive to ship back.... What's the longest road trip someone has taken before after going FI? Also, not sure if Ontario has 93 octane readily available... I'll look into that...

Went around 650 miles - KY to MD. No problems. Didn't do any drag racing on the way, but did average around 90 mph or so.

Just drove 550 miles to and from Forged Performance. Indianapolis to Atlanta... Averaged about 90mph also, no problems. Also got about 27mpg.

Nothing as long as you guys, but I have done 400 miles a couple of times and many 200+ mile trips. I did drive 200 miles to the tail of the dragon, about 75-100 miles at the dragon, then 200 miles back home, then about 165 miles back to school 2 hrs later, so 650-700 miles all in one day, but not all at the same time. I have put 33k miles on my TT kit since December 2004.

I drove about 1200 miles rountrip from Miami to Forged Performance. The car got a beating the whole way, especially after the retune. I pegged the speedo on the drive home.

You rock. Unfortunatly, on my trip it was foggy and raining so I couldn't go quite so fast - think my top was around 130 or so on that trip. My current personal best is 166. What type of cloaking / detection device do you use?

went from portland to phoenix with my ati set up, and blew a belt when i was down there. luckily, with a few quick intake mods, i was able to make it all the way home. don't remember exactly, but i think 3200 miles round trip.
many trips to l.a., san fran, sacramento, seattle since being f.i.

i've done a 800+ trip with the car a short while ago w/o any kind of problems tough this doesn't mean that your car won't have any problems either..

would San Diego, CA to Suffolk, VA with a stop in Jacksonville, FL count as a long road trip for you?

Edit:
San Diego - Jacksonville = 2327.79 miles
Jacksonville - Suffolk = 610.54 miles

2938.33 Miles Done in less than 3 days.

OEM speedo. I pegged it, but the car was still picking up speed. I was suprised how well the car handle at that speed. It was so smooth and I still on stock suspension other than stillen sways.

I know this sounds crazy, but my car seemed to squat down and it felt extremely stable at speed. I have Toikco struts with Espielr springs, NISMO sways and NISMO front lip and rear spoiler. I did not have the "floating" feeling I always get from American cars at high (over 110 mph) speed.
Before suspension and aero mods, I went 145 mph, it felt very stable at that speed also, completely stock. Just think Nissan has a good design here in the Z. BTW, I love what you have done to your car.

If you have a SC just bring spare belts and tools to change them on the side of the road if needed. I always keep a spare set and tools in my trunk just in case.
