Default Leak Help!!

Just go tmy APS ST installed. I was driving and heard a loud whoosh as if a hose came off and now my car wont boost past 2-4 psi and the blowoff valve doesnt do the usual shutter it is just a low toned whoosh. Not to mention the large hose going into the drivers side of the intercooler has a lot of oil dripping out of it. What is going wrong here?

well, for one thing, that's blowby (the oil). Another thing....check and make sure all the piping is still connected at the couplers. If not, put 'em back in the couplers and tighten down!

Yes, all of them. Intercooler, turbo, MAF, TB.

hmm. either you simply popped off a coupler, or your seals in the turbo blew.

you will suck in oil on the valve cover lines too that are connected to the intake side of the turbo, you just blew off a coupling somewhere, and its not between the maf and the throttle body, check all the hose clamps/t bolts really good and see if you find any couplings that are blown off..

i have blown off the couplers 2 times in the past two weeks, each time, a different coupler...i really need some better quality clamps..the most common area is where the turbo links up to the intercooler...2nd option is the hard to reach pipeleading to the pipe that goes to the intercooler (by the radiator)...

if you are suxking in unmetered air, your car will puke and blow smoke like crazy. Check to see if an air is getting sucked in after the MAF. check for leaks around the intake manifold, too.

If that's not it, check the valve cover vents. pull the tubing off of them an see if smoke is coming out of them. If so, you may have broken the ring lands on your pistons. I hope that's not it!!!

I forgot one more thing. you could have had the seals int he turbo go bad. If so, you could be getting oil passing into the compressor side of the turbo and you are slinging oil through the intake piping tract. from what you had mentioned earlier, this may be a real posibility.

Since you have the APS ST, you probably need the replacement check valve. You shouldn't be dripping oil anywhere, blowby or not.

As far as the low boost thing, just be sure to check all of your hoses and couplers, as the other guys have stated before.
