The retard timing everyone runs on pump gas is one of the reasons we arent making power past 6500-6700rpm. Race fuel and more timing go a long way.

Nice work!

Hey Happy new year!
I'm just enjoying a 500+whp daily ride on pump gas.
Recently I went to the track only to break the inner CV joint on my DSS level 5 axles. The funny thing is that it broke while accelerating in 2nd gear. I've got some pics of the axles in my album.

DSS axles FTL! I wish they didnt use stock inner CV joints. Thats 3 Ive heard of now breaking Level 5's, for the **** rape price nothing should be stock or needed to swap from the stock ones on to those...

No Alberto, the inside doesn't look oem, it is bigger in the inside. the inside diameter of the DSS 5 CV is close to 30mm vs 27mm on the oem to allow the bigger axle dia (unless they mod the stock). I will call them this week to see what are my options now.

BTW I tried to fix the DSS 5 with my stock axles like I used to with my level 3 and found out that it was bigger than stock. my only option is to ship it back to DSS.

First Ive heard this, on their site they used to state the inner CV Joints remained stock. Still, its obviously not reinforced enough.

Just got my inner CV Level 5's repaired by DSS and they are "stock". They are working on something to get away from using the stock CV's but are a couple months away.

Default Alberto

Sharif got the car tuned and I added a 100 shot and took it to the track on 12/10! It went less than 1/2 inch (it really "hooked") and snapped the bolt holding the rear end housing, the housing dropped and destroyed the inner CV on my Level 5 axles. I'm back up now and waiting for a dry 1/4 mile track!

Mike
