Default Hks?

It's been quite a while now! Does anybody know if HKS is going to bring back the rotrex supercharger, and when they plan on introducing the new turbo kits? I'm desperate, throw me a bone, dammit!!!

why spend all that money on HKS kits when they won't produce anything better than the ones that currently exist?

and that rotrex was a joke imo.

The HKS supercharger is still available in Japan, the supercharger unit itself is no longer Rotrex, now it is made by HKS.

Yes but you could pick it up for around 5500 if you shop around. If you consider it was a very complete kit, and very reliable, i would buy it. Then again, i don't like to penny pinch when it comes to quality. If there kits cost the extra grand, because there quality is that much better, then i'll go for it. I'm sure all this about HKS being expensive has been flogged like a dead horse already! It's been proven that their stuff is only a little more than the average price.

yes, but it's also been shown that nearly every other kit on the market is made with high quality parts. Plus, you can be sure all those HKS kits will have the fcon which will STILL not be able to be tuned fully by any average joe and only authorized HKS fcon dealers (which is garbage)

If you think about it, a Greddy TT with FMIC, costs around 6k, and that is by no means a complete kit. In fact out of the box it's not recomended to run ot for long at all. The APS ST kit costs 5000 and that is a complete kit ready to go. If you go to HKS Japan, you will see their single torbo system for 680,000 yen, which equates to about 5800, and that's directly from HKS, you could probably find it for around 5300 - 5400, and that comes with a cat!!! So no my friend, HKS are not that expensive!

I don't mind not being able to tune it if it comes with a good tune from factory, which from what i understand, it does. Why mess with something thats working good, unless your seeking more power. But for the average joe that just wants to bolt the kit on and have fun with it, then it's ideal!

Also, just because you buy lots of quality individual parts, it doesn't mean they all work together, whereas HKS R&D their stuff so that it works perfectly together. That is the key.

To a point I understand your want for a complete system like the HKS one. However, there is very little if not any room for more power with the SC kit and even if you want the little bit of extra power that may be achieveable it will cost you an arm and a leg via an HKS authorized dealer.

There are no HKS dealers around here, so all i want is something that is totally bolt on and ready to go.

Then you have more reason not to get HKS since no one around there will be able to give you help if something goes wrong. That means that you have to not only trailer your car or drive there with whatever doesn't work down the road, but still pay more for the authorized dealer to fix it.
