Default Rough idle with vortech?

Hey guys, since ive installed the vortech ive noticed my car idles a little funny.....It will sit at about 750 like it used to n/a but every now and again it will drop down to 600 or so then bounce right back up to 750. Is this normal?

No...not unless you have cams . I would look into your wiring of the SS box . Did you use quick connectors ?

Highly doubt its my SS box, i soldered all connections. No CEL. Car makes great power. The one thing that i thought was odd though is that sitting at idle with the A/C off, my vaccuum is damn near 24, isnt it supposed to be like 21?

Mine intermitently goes from 650 to 600 sometimes. Is this normal?

I go through and make sure that all piping is nice and tight. It will only take a small *** leak to give you a fluctuation (SP?).

Well, it threw a code last night on my way home, im gonna go get it scanned right now. Maybe that will give us a hint to my problem.

P1283, lol, nothing to do with the issue, i guess ill check for vaccuum leaks.

I had before. I think its due to either test pipe or kinetix hi flow cats
