I don't think anyone is running 10psi with out ugrading the internals and injectors... Most are running it @ stock boost (6.8psi) and make between 380-415 whp with a good exhaust system...

Maybe a fuel system by CJ Motorsports... A boost controler... The split second box can be tuned. I would strongly recomend a built short Block... What are your HP goals... Rather than your PSI Goals...

I think your safest bet with those goals is to do atleast a short block build.

for those power goals you need a built bottom end or else you will go BOOM.

I drive around on 10psi. sometimes up it to 12psi, but not to often (mostly just for fun)

Then you have to build the motor.

I run the wastegate springs around town, which is about .7 bar on premium pump gas.

Using a programmable Blitz boost controller, I can dial up the boost for a little more fun on the street. However, if I take it up to .9 bar, about 12psi, it is necessary to blend in the 100 octane fuel, and higher than that say 1 or 1.1 bar (15psi+) to run straight 100 octane.

The VRT built motor handles these boost pressures just fine. And with 10psi delivers around 480rwhp and 566lb ft torque.....which is PLENTY. Over that you want to be on the track, and even then the application is limited. There is little need to go for more than 1 bar boost on this particular set up

For sure you wont get this with any TT on a stock engin and a stock every thing. fule system and a good set of pistons and rods will get you there easily.

Note:
It is not the fuel system that is the issue. It is the likely hood of detonation of the stock motor's higher compression pistons. Surprisingly, We have run as much as 12 PSI on racetracks with a stock motor making as much as 472 WHP, yet THAT IS STRICTLY ON RACE FUEL. As that was just to push things and see if we could find a weak link.

Strictly on race-fuel at that level.

Otherwise, too much boost = Clank-clank, ping ping,

BOOOOM.

IF YOU Want higher boost, you need either a lot of expensive race-fuel, or to lower the compression with a built motor.

It doesn't matter what Turbo kit, SC, or fuel system, with higher compression, YOU MUST DEAL WITH THE POTENTIAL of Detonation. DON"T Let anyone convince you otehrwise for sooner than later....Boom!

Up to 8.5 PSI MAX on 91 Octane Pump is possible from our experience as long as there is NO DETONATION throughout the power-band and that can depend allot on the weather temp, heat, altitude, and more so there isn't a cure all SO BE CAREFUL please.

M

Cool; It can be done with added fuel tuning and a boost controler... It would be unsafe.... At 6.8psi you will have good relabilty on a stock motor. I'd do a good exhaust, HI-Flows, or TP's and a 5/16" Spacer...

I'm sure you will be happy in this fall weather @ 6.8psi... Vinny @ Perfromance is in process of coming out with his VTR Street Motors (based off his Race Motors)...
