Pics of my motor build in process
Well finally, it has been a long road. The sleeves added some time to the process and then the second machine shop took a while as well to balance, cage the bearings and he also didn't like the finish on the sleeves so he polished them up a bit.
Here are some shots I took some are with a phone so not great, you can click on the thumbnail for larger view. Hope to have everything in next week and broken in for Zfest in Orlando.
List of Parts:
Darton Midsleeves stock bore
Carrillo rods
Wiseco 8.8 CR Pistons
HKS Headgasket
ARP Main Studs and L19 Head studs
Jim Wolf C2 Cams
Jim Wolf Springs
Additional things going in:
Koyo 53mm Radiator
Sertrab Oil cooler
Nismo Power Steering Cooler
Evans Coolant
Additional Rear block cooling mod
Snow Performance Methanol injection

DARN! Everyone is building their motor Looking very good there. No heads work? Mine is in the process as well. I'm stilll on the fence about sleeving or not? Also why go with the 53mm radiator instead of the 36mm which doesn't require any modification?

The 53mm doesn't require much to get it to fit, and just want to make sure the car runs cool as I plan on going back to the roadcourses.

Nice work Gus....I see you will be using the rear cylinder coolant bypass modifcation. Very good choice...especially with a sleeved block. You will find that the sleeved block will run about 10 degrees warmer at idle, vs. the open deck. But on the dyno and road, your coolant temps will be perfectly fine. The coolant bypass mods keeps the coolant temps from racing upward.

what's the hose located where should be a cover in the middle of your block between the cylinders of right and left bank?

Thanks, that is what I am shooting for, some may think all off the cooling mods are probably overkill but I want to go back to the track and tool around with the added power and keep temps down, plus the heat down here is a killer.

Hey, I missed you a ZFEST. Someone said you were walking around, but we never got a chance to say hello to each other. Your display car looked great.
