Default Stillen SC

I have a friend who tells me that he was talking with a nissan mechanic who said that the stillen SC doesnt void the factory warranty. Has anyone else heard about this or is my friend just mislead?

The Stillen does have a limited warreny but most people here don't think much of it. Look around, you'll see a lot of info about that type of thing in this forum.

The question was whether the Stillen unit voided the factory warranty or not.

The Stillen SC DOES void the car (Z and G) manufacturers warantee's.....unless you pay extra for the warantee through Stillen which is a 3 year / 36,000 "vehicle miles" (limited) warantee and is only offered with the Stillen stage 2 intercooled kit.

In other words if you buy a (brand new) Stillen stage 2 SC kit with the limited warantee, have a certified Stillen installer install this on a car that has say 25K miles, the "limited" warantee is only good for 11k miles, etc. If you choose to upgrade to the stage 3 or 4, when you order the upgrades, you will be made to disclose your name and the SC's serial number (so they can note the VOID of warantee) before they will even send you out the upgrade.

Nissan tech's aren't the ones who make warranty decisions, so when they say stuff like that they're usually talking out their asses

There are a couple dealers here in AZ that will install it and honor the warranty.

i think the stillen warranty is a load of crap as it only covers the block and nothing else.not worth spending the money for it.
