Sorry to hear you had a bad experience at SGP. If you're from Florida why didn't you just go to Japtrix. I have heard nothing but good things bout them, especially w/ unichip cause they do APS TT installs? $250 is not an absurd amount to pay because you are paying for time on the dyno. I'm not sure but I'm quite certain that "loading" a map into and EMS isn't as easy as it looks. I could be wrong though.

To be very honest though, every shop is gonna have it's dissatisfied customer. Can't please everyone right? However looking it as a whole, there are many more customers w/ great reviews of SGP. Not to mention the customers that aren't even forum members.

Anyone else know anything about this shop, i know they are very well known around here but all i ever hear is about how high their prices are. I have a 3.9fd and don't want to get turned over on the labor. Also thinking about some huge cams and heads.

Jotech is a good shop, but like most, you will pay for it...any tranny shop should be able to correctly install your 3.9FD, it will likely be easier for them and cheaper...

Never been to SGP but have dealt with Mark on the phone....well long story short, I have a cracked upper plenum and Mark just overnighted me one free of cost...I was never a customer and he didn't really know me better than a hole in the wall....he has just earned himself a loyal customer...never seen someone so willing to help.....I could only imagine the damage I would do to public hiways if I had them in my backyard...based on his ability to go above and beyond and all of the good things I have heard...I would say go with Mark and SGP.

I know people say Jotech is expensive, but they will compete for your business, they do match shop prices.

I agree with Method... Can't please everyone. I might not have a boosted z just yet, but SGP has done pretty much everything else on my Z, including tune. Mark has always been honest with me. IMO, the major problems with anything when it comes to performance vehicle such as ours is THE OPERATOR! Learn to drive it, learn to respect it, and listen to your tuner.
