Default How did you buy your Fi setup?

I wanted to know how everyone bought their respective FI setup... Did you buy it all at once or buy here and there? I know its a lil cheaper to buy it all at once, but it might be easier on the wallet to do it in steps. I have the money, but cant come to grips with shelling out 9k or so all at one time .. hurts just thinking about it. .lol..lol.. I was thinking to just buy my setup here and there to spread out the cost and ease the pain. I have time on my side anyways as i gotta head out of the counrty for a few times here and there and thought to just spend a few grand here and there and have it all together so when im done with my travels i could just get the kit installed. I really dont wanna dish out the dough and then leave, or have all that money saved just to blow it in the swipe of a check cash card.. did anyone here do this?

i financed mine too..put a good amount down though... I just gave up some money to move in my new home and pay closing costs etc.. and soon i gotta jet to trindad like 3 times before the end of the year. I just was thinking it would be easier for me to spend here and there instead of one shot. at least thats my feelings on it..

My Z is financed, so i made the smart move of paying cash for my FI set-up instead of putting that money on the loan, and have yet to regret it.

Cash no other way is really worth it because stuff could go wrong and you will still be paying for the kit while its down on top of paying for it to be fixed.

I think some may have read my question wrong. Im paying cash for it no matter what..!! I was asking more of paying it all cash at once, or some cash here and there. Like i said, i will be in and out of the US and thought to just do it here and there so by the time im done with traveling it will be paid. Plus it might give me time to see if any new things pop up, like a Utec GUI or COBB engine management, etc..you never know... To me and for my situation its the smart thing to do as opposed to giving all that money at one time. I just wanted to know if anyone did the same. I would never take a loan or pay with credit.. Man.. I can only imagine how some of you ballers/drug dealers (lol) felt giving up all that money at one time..

When I was ready I just put the money down in one shot. If you are waiting for a EM to come out then hold off as this could make a difference in whether you get a tuner kit or not. TXS was hinting about the GUI in a thread they poted in yesterday, plus they are coming out with a new update at the end of the week.

I plan on buying piecemeal.
I'll buy my internals first... pistons, rods, HKS HGs, and ARP fasteners
let them sit...
Buy the electronics next... UTEC with tuner, gauges, EBC...
Then buy the kit and fuel system.... once thats bought...
I'll pull the motor to send to the machine shop for the build... while it's out I'll run all the installation for the electronics (and likely do the suspension mods I want to do)...
then install the turbo kit on the motor and drop it in, hook everything up and tune it.
