I have read alot of posts debating the Turbonetics ST and the TT kits offered on the market. But all too many times these comparisons are done in relation to pushing the kits limits and going for 450+ horse power on stock blocks. Me Im a realist and on a budget. All Im looking for is about 360hp just to give some of the local v8 muscle a challenge. What I want to know is will there be a big difference in how a tt or st kit at these hp numbers pull.If it is a big difference and the tt wins by a mile then I will continue to save. But if not then the cheaper and easier to install ST kit will be the way for me. Please dont bring up the subject of the TT will produce xx number of horse power more than the ST. I dont want to rebuild or strengthen internals and I dont want to change the fuel system, exhaust or any other components except the clutch and flywheel. Any insight would be appreciated especially from those who have driven both. IF this has been covered I appologize and please direct me to where, I havent found my specific question.
Thanks
Thanks
If the goal is 360whp, and mild boost, you will find little difference in trq or power output between the two kits. Yes, the TT will give a little more power at a given boost level, but for your application, I would just do the TN kit. Best of luck.

I was in the same position as you last summer. I wanted to stay stock block as long as I could. I went with the TN kit and it worked very well for me. I blew the motor but I put no blame on anybody other than myself, I overrevved it at the track to not have to shift to 5th down the 1/4. The midrange TQ the TN kit makes is a great feeling, and I trapped 116mph in 90 degree heat, car was a beast....
+1 and if you still if you at some point decide to go further which sound sound TN kit will have a stag2 upgrade option anyways.... so TN kit will be great for you based on your current goals
