Default Speed Force Racing?

this company speed force racing claims that running 10.4 psi is SAFE on stock internals/block and fuel system, this seems a little sketchy to me caus im hearing about guys blowing $h1T at this boost level on stock internals.

depends on the tune, though most will agree that above 475whp or so the motor is just a ticking bomb. Some have gone for a long, long time at power levels like that and still not blown, others have blown with less.

IMO bigger turbos that produce less heat in compression aid in preventing blown motors with a good IC and tune.

I think different shops have different recomendations on what's safe. FWIW, there are 2 SFR kits for sale in the classifieds. That kit is probably best suited to a built motor since the turbos are pretty high flowing for twins.

It's not that cut and dry. You have plenty of shops/tuners that deal with the street conditions in your local area. They probably have a better idea of what runs safe in Florida.

HP numbers are easier to compare than boost levels. HP numbers of course are with a grain of salt depending on the dyno used, boost levels differ with different kits to make the same power. The amount of boost to make 450 on a single turbo vs 450 on a twin turbo set up is one example.

Engine management and pump gas availablility comes into play as well. More research and find a shop you can use and trust.

I am boosting 11.5 with a Utec, next week I am going Fcon, and 3.5 down pipes. I am hoping for 480's we'll see. Same boost 11.5psi. Key thing is to get it done right with the correct supporting mods (good tune, fuel return lines, fuel pump ect.) I am sure the folks at Forged performance can help you do it safely

I have 3 settings on my utec. 1.405whp safe tune( use it every now and again) 2. 425whp street tune( this is the one is use most of the time) 3. 445whp race tune( I use this only when i'm at the track or i feel like putting c-16 in the tank). I don't track the car and only have taken it to the drag strip once. I just wanted a powerful street car that could hold its own at the track. I drive the car 2-3 times a week and always stay up on the maintenence(fluids, plugs, etc.)

I myself would not go higher than 8lbs of boost on stock internals, but everyone has their opinions

Driving a car and racing the car are certainly two different scenarios.

I can drive around town on 25 PSI and never hit any significant boost on pump gas and not Blow.

No way you can race (road race at high RPMs) the stock motor without pulling a huge amount of timing and over 10-11 PSI for long Without Race Fuel. Otherwise...Clunk...Clunk..Boom..Boom.

Good-luck.

i've never heard of this kit. Is there anyone out there running it that has had a good or bad experience?? you oughta share your thoughts...APS TT puts down 500+ whp on stock internals at around 12-13 psi. Not too sure how safe it is, but Tuan over at GRD has had his car at those powerlevels since early this year and i dont think he has had any major issues. I doubt he drives his car as hard as some of us do though..he's had it for turboed for some time now.

I just want to clarify a couple things. We have run our test cars upto 10.6 psi of boost on 91 octane pump fuel. My own car has 17,000 miles(1.4 years) on the clock now with our turbo system. No boom, bang or anythng else. Now we do not reccomend running at these boost levels for great lengths of time because you are approaching the limits of what the stock bottom-end can handle.Having access to 93 octane fuel is safer at 10.6 psi of boost but still the limits of the stock motor cannnot be ignored.

A forged bottom-end Otherwise we reccomend running around with 8-9 psi so that you are not right on the edge of what the motor can handle.
