i had the same problem. When the guy installed the oring on the gas tank some how it got some gas on it and expanded. So i went and found a oring from a place that sells orings for hydrolics. It is working good so far. dont buy a replacement oring. find one with a different material but the same size

It is tough, if you are sure it is the seal (oring) try to reinstall the pump and carefully ensure the seal sits all the way around before you tighten the screws.

Best way is to push down on the pump, ensure the seal is in place and install/tighten the screws will keeping pressure on the pump to keep it from moving up and the seal getting out of place.

It goes around the outer diameter of the fuel pump, when you remove the 6 or so screws holding the fuel pump in place the oring/seal is under it. The white top not the metal ring that is separate from the fuel pump once you remove the screws.

The thing is that the pump has a spring load on it so if you do not hold it down as you put the screws in it will pop up slightly and if not careful the oring/seal might not seal properly.

Do you have to drop the tank or is there an easier way to get to this pump?

No you don't, you can access it behind the passenger seat.

Open the storage compartment, remove the little mat, then remove the plastic tray and sound mat and there it is.

I found the top of the pump but how do you pull off that top metal part with the 4 clips?

Ah forgot about them, just use a screw driver to turn them and that is it the cover slides over the clips.

But before doing anything with the fuel tank it is good to have it low in gas as well as relieve the pressure in the fuel system, this can be done by removing the fuel pump fuse, in the battery compartment fuse box, and crank the engine a few times until it wont start.

Well we pulled off the cover and it was pretty moist on the top of the pump. It looks like its comming from the return line because the big o ring wasn't popping out on any side (from what Eric or I could tell) Has anyone else had this return line leak on you when you have your tank full?

Not sure what return system you have but the return line may just need tightening or the nut inside the pump holding the return fitting in place may need to be tightened.

Had the same problem as you described. Sounds like your oring. And yes, get your fuel down to at least 1/2 tank before you investigate or you will have a sloppy mess! Make sure you clean and dry the entire top of your fuel pump assembly and make sure you get absolutely no fuel on the oring. There has to be a better product out there that won't let it expand!

When i had my TN kit put on, the mechanic put the screws in wrong. It actually punctured the tank and caused a lot of issues. In the end i had to get a new tank
He was good enough to pay for it, so no complaints on that!

I was only able to fill 1/2 of the tank up as it would leak everywhere when i tried to go over the transmission hump.

not completely, but enough to have some leak when we removed the assembly.
