Hi everyone, well i have a vortech kit complete, and my car is in the shop getting repaired from a small accident 2 weeks ago... well my question is,,, is there any problems in the winter for superchargers? vortech perhaps? to cold might damage unit? The car is MY Daily driver. Also what kinda of RWHP #'s u think i can put down with following mods:

Cams
Headers
Underdrive pulleys
Catback system
Grounding kit
NGK 1 step colder plugs
---
To go with setup :
Kinetix SSV intake manifold
3.12 pulley instead of original
Dyno tuned by GRD

What kinda #'s u guys think?

 

I drove my Vortech setup through two Michigan winters, never had an issue. But I did have it in a semi-heated garage at night, so I never had any major snow or ice build-up.

Why do you want the Kinetix SSV? It seems to be just a show piece.

 

The power will depend on what psi you are running..?? In the winter you might even pickup 1-2 more psi depending on how good your boost controler is..

Got the SSV for $450lol, so i jumped on it.I thinkstock boost is 8,so with other plley I'd beat 9 psi i think?

 

Just make sure your tune is good for the colder temps
